I'm so very glad I found this forum, its so much better [for me] than a group was. I couldn't stand all that happy clapping, I nearly nodded off my 1st night and wondered what the hell I was doing there.

I felt exactly the same when I tried class. It was so boring and I hated the 'ooh so and so has lost this much but so and so has put on this week' malarky! It lasted waaay to long for my liking. But I'm not the most sociable of people in new places so I guess if you are then you would enjoy it! I'm not knocking class as I know they are great for some people.

will check in again when i get home wednesday
hope you're all having a nice weekend xx
• (not sure what other tyne brand you want checking....I never buy them so its the only one I could think of, but if you need anything else just ask :))
Basically the syn book you have will be WAY wrong now with a few things:eek:......you used to be able to eat corned beef freely.....now its synned, and up until just a couple of months ago morrisons eat smart sausages were free...now they are 1/2 syn each,

From how I understand it - if the packaging changes, then often the syn value does too :( so you need to just check if you notice anything.

Hope this helps a bit ;)
Would you like me to make you a sample menu plan using what you have just listed for a week so you can see what you could have?
I could look up syns etc and it might give you some idea of where to start...
Also if you look on the minimins site -you will get loads of help on there... I live over there :p -its brilliant...

Guess I'd better put my meals up for the day!

Green day:

B - scrambed egg, beans, leftover SW wedges, ketchup (1syn)
L - stuffed peppers - peas, onions, garlic, egg and WM breadcrumbs (HEB), roasted new pots (with frylight), cabbage, carrots, runner beans
D - Jacket spud, cheese (2 x HEA), LF coleslaw (3.5syns)
Snacks - Activa FF yog, jelly (0.5syns), LF creme fraiche (1.5syns), pear, kellogs Fibre + (HEB)
Drinks - coffee, fizzy water,

Total syns = 6.5

I've not had dinner yet, as lunch was late in the day. And still have the jelly and bar to eat too! They will be desert.

I'm ridiculously excited about doing my WI tomorrow :rotfl: I have been 100% for 3 weeks, but I am not going to get my hopes up too much just incase!

what are the velvet crunch??

Ive been searching everywhere for space raiders:search: but I cant get them

Its not often I fancy anything thats not choccy related for my 8pm feast .......dont know if you've noticed ? :rotfl:

Hi Dizzy, Velvet Crunch are made by an Irish company, King. They sell them in tesco (and at our local hospital :D ). They are 4 syns a bag and are really really good.
Now Sainos also make something similar, theirs are BGTY sweet chilli cassaca snacks and are only 3.5 syns! But do not go for their BGTY cheddar and onion potato snacks are they are much higher syns, and very salty. Just my opinion x
:jThat's 2 stone 9 lbs gone forever:j

thank you Slimming World!
• Hi - can I join you, please? Was thinking about going back to class (again), but work and class doesn't always work out. And I'd sooner spend the money on food rather than class. I've got the books from when I last joined (earlier this year), so will give it a go on my own, with support from all you lovely people. I'll start tomorrow morning (which suits me much better than an afternoon/evening class) and let you know how I get on. Hope you all have a great holiday tomorrow.
