My OH is 27. He does have a physically demanding job which i think is why he is a normal weight! I think he does worry about putting weight on but i think right now he doesn't care because he does a lot of physical work. (Lucky git!)All hail to the sale!!!!!!

+ 1.5 lb = 155.5 pounds
So 10% = 15.5 pounds
So your first target weight is 140lb - 10 stone.
Going to bed now, I think I might be getting slightly obsessed!

Hi,
Just popped in with an update. Well after sticking to SW EE for a week and a half, found myself becoming obsessed with food. So stupid as there is definately lots to eat, so not that I was hungry. This is something that has always happened to me when I have gone on a 'diet' before. So I decided to stick to basic principles, but without writing a diary or counting 'syns' I know this isn't the way to do it, but it seems to be working for me at the minute and have lost 4 pounds. Quite happy to lose it slowly and I think I am more likely to stick with it is I do not become preoccupied with food. If I feel like this is beginning to slip will have to think again...

Hi Jill do you know if there is a 10% club thread on here anywhere, be a good first incentive for us SW newbies to get to learn as we burn!

A question though.....I had two small pieces of tiffin. I had never tried it before today and have no idea of syn value. I presume it will be all 15 or more for today
lolly I need some dyno rod soup.My meds are causing me a few problems.... say no more
Ive been put on some magic powders from the doc to help with the ...ahem...lack of toilet action caused by my other meds (I went 6 days without going ouch:( and now its still 3 or 4 days sometimes) , but these powders are hit and miss still.....so a bowl of Dyno Rod soup reallllllly helped things along

My challenge today is planning for the next week, when we will be staying in a house by the sea. I will be going to work each day (apart from Monday), so will be going past a Co-op and a Waitrose, but will not have all the "stuff" I have here and want to be spending time on the beach (probably with two jumpers and a cagoule on at this rate) rather than cooking complicated meals. I need six evening meals.
Ideas so far:
1. BBQ (vegetable kebabs, have done them with marinated tofu before and worked well) with wedges
2. Curry (take the sauce)
3. Rice and veg thing
4. Pasta, vegetables and feta
5. Stir fry - need to check the syns for the blue dragon sauce I have
6. Omlette?? and wedges?
Today I need to cook a VAT of the curry sauce to freeze, and I might make a load of bean burgers to freeze too.
Next Saturday night I will be going out with OH (a rare event) to my favourite restaurant, an Indian restaurant in Leicester. Need to save some syns I think.......
Good luck today everyone,

I use the blue dragon stir frys as they are pretty quick and convenient....and the highest sachet comes in at 9 I think......but split with me OH & a portion for my lunch next day Im only having 3 syns which is pretty darn good I think
Also with the sweet and sour one (6 syn) I make double amount and just make the sauce go further by adding rice vinegar, sweetener and lemon juice (all free) then I can freeze the rest and my meals are even lower syn0
