    Another dodgy day, oh dear....

I couldn't be faffed with making up lunch today so I thought I could just survive on snacking on fruit all day (how dumb am I?!) unfortunately someone bought cakes in and just couldn't resist two of them! argh!!!!!

I'm going to redeem things later by making a veggy curry, but god I feel crap after all that sugar.

I sooooo need to get organised from now on.

First few questions are I need to find out what my healthy weight is and what my first target is of course! Also how many SINS etc am I allowed per day? ~ How do I figure these out please?

    Thanks :)

Your target needs to be what you feel good at, regardless of anything else. I have ladies in group who just want to be a 'normal' size 16 and I have some who want to be a size 8. Lots of us just aim to lose some weight, be it a stone or 10 stone.

As Dizzy said, there are charts you can look at (one in the books actually) but these are not set in stone. Just make a loss and see how you feel as the pounds come off - it's much less stressful in my experience.
I let my mind wander and it never came back!

How tall are you? you're weight range is worked out from this. There is a chart available on the SW site to use.

you have between 5 and 15 syns a day. I usually have around 10-11 (but im a creature of habit with my syns going on the same choccie treats every evening lol :o)

    Hi Dizzy

I am short actualy at 4 ft 7 " and this morning weighed :o 11 st 10 1/4 lb  and aged 38 Female OMG!

I am not currently on the SW website, am saving up to join though (its a lot of money but worth it I think). My downfall is not exercising I think! Although a lot of my medication and diabetes (Type 2) doesn't help.

I have put on a lot of weight though since my Dad passed away in February this year and I am having to cope with I assume is the depression from it and stress of looking out for my Mam and Brother who live in Wales (I now live in Sussex with fruit n veg intollerant ;) hubby and 2 dogs). Thanks :)

    Hi Consultant

I need to be in my helthy range, I know it will take some time to get there and am prepared for that. But due to medical conditions I ideally need to be at least the top end to middle of my reccomended ideal weight range and BMI. I cannot access the SW website at the moment as I said I am saving up to join. Thanks :)

    Any advice?

    Thanks :)

Big hello and welcome to the newbies Beautiful-Dreamer and Twilight Cat :D

TC while SW always say that nothing is forbidden, I would urge you to try and cut out any thoughts of being able to have Greggs pasties :( However, I have a recipe for a 'fake' pastie which you may (or may not enjoy). I never tried it myself, and had a very mixed reaction in group - some loved it, others loathed it. Give me a mo and I'll look for it and ost it up for any brave soul who might want to give it a try.

DizzyK are you still in the loo??????????????

The weight range for your height is between 40 and 53kgs (roughly between 6½ stones and 8½ stones). However, you will almost certainly find health benefits from losing just a couple of stones. I have had members who have been able to stop medication for diabetes altogether.

Just don't put too much pressure on yourself. You didn't gain the weight quickly - be prepared for it to take a long time to come off....meanwhile rest assured that your diet will be healthy and nutritious :)

You're allowed between 5 and 15 syns a day - be sure to use them, you will find it much easier to stick to plan than if you limit them in order to lose weight quicker.
