Evening all,
I don't think I'm eating enough, but at the same time I'm reluctant to keep spending money on food.
Breakfast - weetabix and milk
Lunch - jacket potato and beans
Dinner - quorn sausages, mushrooms and SW chips
Also had an orange earlier and a mullerlight. I'll have some cheese shortly as a HEb. Also had two chocolate digestive biscuits this morning
What can I add to my meals/meal plans to bulk them out without costing the earth? I love fruit but it gets so expensive to top up every day!
I really want a 1lb off this week but something tells me that's not going to happen....They have the internet on computers now?! - Homer Simpson

Try more superfrees with your meals, things that aren't that expensive but will go a long way. Like toms, onions, carrots, mushrooms or anything on offer. Its hard when moneys tight I know but there are bargins out there. Its not what you do but the way that you do it, thats what get results :T

My wife & I started the SW diet 3 weeks ago, on the Extra Easy.
We used the SW diet several years ago using red & green days. We have not joined SW club yet.
We've both lost some weight, but for 2 weeks my wife as stayed the same. She is rigid on the plan except 2 things:
1) fluid in take.
2) not eating syns every day or using the full amount each week
My question is:
Are both these things affecting her weight loss?
We have a Extra Easy book, but not a syns book so its difficult to gauge what we eat.
I've not lost weight this week, but I know I've not stuck to the plan as much as she has.
Any help or advice would be gratefully received - joining a club is the obvious answer but we want to try the 'net first!
HI
yup drinking more fluids will definately help things......as will increasing the daily syns to around 10.
Are you making sure that you're eating 1/3 superfree veggie or fruit with each meal ? (one BIG mistake I made was thinking peas & corn fell into this list....that affects the balace a bit:rotfl:)
As for syn values in foods - I know its already been said.....but folk on here would be happy to help with any queries if you have no books
Good Luck!0 -

For lunch today I had the jacket potato and beans but didn't bother with the coleslaw and fruit and yoghurt as we don't have any of the ingredients in the house.
I managed just half of the breakfast. I had the porridge with fruit but didn't have the eggs or the bacon or mackerel. My SW will be quite frugal but once I am back on line I can fit my menu plan to what we have available here.
Is it okay to eat only half what is recommended? I am not hungry at all.
Actually, daft as it sounds, if you don't eat enough, you won't lose weight as well as you could. Your body tends to hang on to any calories you give it if it thinks there's liable to be a famine (so to speak).
When you follow the EE plam (as you will be doing if using the free sample menu) you really need to be having as much fruit and veg as they tell you since this is what helps to fill you up and make sure you meet your nutritional needs. The eggs, bacon and mackerel are just there to show you how much you can eat if you want to I imagine - I don't think I could eat that after porrige and I can eat for my Country, lol.
Hope this answers some of your questions.I let my mind wander and it never came back!0 -
Lucy, I don't like porridge so my filling breakfast is cooked pudding rice mixed with a muller and added fruit - it's totally free on green & EE. Maybe try this once or twice and see how you go?
