Have a lovely time Lynz, Just enjoy it - you're slipping below target and you need a chorizo or 2 to hold your dress up :rotfl::rotfl:
:D xx
No its all cool now went to M&S and they fitted me out with some sort of maddonna style bra that basically takews me up about 10 cup sizes
I look weird- but better than th dress falling down! Well aint funny how its the little things in life that mean the most? Not where you live, the car you drive or the price tag on your clothes.

I don't think egg is superfree...it's only fruit and veg that's free on both plans that counts as superfree.0 -
Morning all
Well I managed yesterday again!! I think!
Sysn were 2x packet ( 8?) of ww crisps and a bit of OHs snicker s(2?) and a bit of olive oil for roasting ( def no more than 2)
Dinner last night was immense, huge salad ( SF) , sweetcorn cob (F) Sweet pot ( F) beetroot roasted in oil (SF) shallots (SF) was so massive.
First time I have tried roasted beetroot () and I totally loved it, I can see this being a big feature as its superfree. A lunch of roasted beetroots with a side salad and a yog dressing sounds perfect to me!
Off away as I said later, so up till then I willl do my best!
Fruit and muller for breakf
with a bowl of butternut squash soup and a bread roll (HEB) and couscous salad, might roast the last of the beets to go with ( do they save in the fridge, I'll be away for 5 days?)
God knows what will be for dinner as I am going to sign off plan whilst im away (!!) , but hoping for a Chinese to keep within syn range today
In Spain. Ive no idea how hard it will be, im sensing fairly hard?? . Im hoping my sister who is a SW consultant has planned a SW friendly menu on her wedding dayMust avoid the chorizo and patatas bravas!!!
Hope everyone has a cool day. xxx
Hi Lynz, how did you do the beetroot? I have never done it as I never know if to peel it before or after cooking, if to roast it whole or cut it up and also how long it takes!!!
Thanks x0 -

I think the problem is 25ml isn't always served nowadays. some pubs serve 35ml as a single so you end up with 1.5 extra syns without realising!blackberry-rum wrote: »Hi Catt, what we were told at class is that it's now 35ml not 25ml so not strictly a double, just a leeeetle bit more that no-one would notice but still adds sneaky syns. oh you beat me to it blackberry!
naughty pubs trying to get us drunker/fatter lol! they did the same with wine glasses too, a small glass is mahooosive!Betty B: The Eternal Procrastinator....

EE for me today:
brek: 2 eggs, scrambled with a bit of frylight, 1 small wholewheat roll (Heb) and 2 tsp flora light (2.0)
snack: 2 plums and 2 cups of tea (1/2 hea)
lunch: leftover bolognaise (lean mince, toms, onion, courgette) on a jacket potato or pasta (depends how thrifty i'm feeling - microwave is on the fritz and not sure i want the oven on for an hour!) with a bit of cheese (other 1/2 hea)
snack: herbal tea, baby plum tomatoes
dinner: chicken thighs (no skin and fat cut off) in a spicy tomato sauce with onion and red pepper, with some boiled rice
dessert: muller! (stuck a strawberry cheesecake one in the freezer, going to try to defrost it a bit this afternoon and see if it's like ben and jerry strawberry cheesecake ice cream!!) (2.0)
total syns: 4.0!:T might have a hot choc later on so make that 6.0 just in caseBetty B: The Eternal Procrastinator....

Thanks x
Me either!
I did 4 whole ones
I cut the tops off then rinsed dirt off in a bowl of water, then cut them in half
Then I put about a tablespoon of olive oil in a shallow pyrex dish
I put the oven on 200 then heated the oil, then threw them in the pyrex along with a handful of peeled shallots ( using up)
Left them in there for about an hour, turning over frequently . I didnt know whether to peel, I didnt. It was fine the peel just went soft. They needed about an hour 10, but if you cut them smaller I guess you would need less? Trial and error, there are lots of info on various websites, I just guessed:beer: Well aint funny how its the little things in life that mean the most? Hello everyone
In a positive SW frame of mind this morning, did some cooking last night so I have something to take to work for lunch that isn't bl**dy salad! Sick of the sight of it lately.
Made a version of the speed soup with things I had in the fridge. Ended up more like a blended minesrone soup, used peppers, toms, green beans, courgette, onion, garlic, tinned lentils etc. Made a massive pan so froze half. Also made a courgette frittata to take cold and used quark in it which is surprisingly nice, finally got over my fear of quark!
Had 10 syns in total yesterday,3 on sweet chilli sauce for jambalaya type thing for tea and 6 went on an extra fibre plus bar with the hope it will help things 'move along' today :rotfl:
So food today will be -
b - Mullerlight and 2 plums
l - Speedy veg soup with cold courgette frittata. Cherries, strawbs and rasberries and a satsuma
t - Mackerel with lime chilli and corriander with loads of stir fried veg and noodles. (3 syns for sweet chilli sauce)
S - 2 sugars (2) Fibre Plus (Heb) Which leaves me a Hea and some extra syns to play around with.
Right going to catch up on post I missed, have a good day everyone:)SW started 28.06.10 - 4, -7.5, -1.5, -2.5, -1, -1and 1/4, -3, +3.5, -2.50 -

Blimey you all talk lots - think I will like this - spent best part of three evenings reading thread for hints, tips and recipies lol before posting!
I joined last Weds so nearly been doing SW for a week - think it is going ok?!?
Couple of questions if someone doesn't mind answering - I am fine with HEA as like milky tea so now worked out I can manage 3 cups a day with allowance - which is a lot less than before but good as know I need to drink more water - plus my bad habit was every cuppa I had loads of biscuit - but since last Weds I have had no biscuits as also a choco-holic so like to save my syns for 2 x funsize choc in evening with last cuppa but..to get to point...struggling with HEB as unless white don't have bread (again not had any since weds and feel loads better) I don't do cheese really...and breakfast when it comes to cereal I am a kid i.e. love rice krispies !! So I have to syn this don't I??? Or is it a HEB with added Syns?!?
Secondly my concern is I am on a lot of medication for Rheumatoid Arthritis - which I think is main reason for weight gained over last two years since diagnosed - so wondering if despite changing my diet will the weight still not go all time on meds?? My theory is a better diet may help my arthritis so should I not worry to much about losing weight - and see it as healthy eating. I am 28, 5ft 4in (at a push) and weigh 10st 8lbs my target is 9st as I know when I went thru my divorce 3 years ago I went to 8st something and I looked ill - medication includes steroids, and drugs called sulfsaline(sp?), diclofenic(sp) methotrexate and an infusion every 8 weeks. But at same time the steroids have caused a fat round face and I weigh about the same as I did when pregnant - I know I have not got loads to lose but at same time I am now a size 12 - before pregnant always an 8 and until I started on all these meds I was a 10 - I just want to get it under control before I go up any more dress sizes as getting expensive replacing clothes!!!
Exercise is also limited because of RA in joints but I have started again a little to try and build up my strength.
Sorry to have rambled on!!!!
Hi Lizziebums
welcome to the group...
yes if you're having rice crispies you would have to syn these....there is no fibre in them, if your're a member tho you can take a look at the latest HEB cereal items online to see whats been added? or just have fruit and yog or if youve time a fry up?
I dont eat bread at all either (once I start I cant stop...and it doesnt agree with my tum at all!) and Im a Bib choccie lover so Ive started having one of those kellogs fibre plus bars as my HEB and saving it til the evening
I add it to my planned choccie treats which is fab!
As for your meds& exercise probs.....Im In the same boat really with ongoing probs since I had Neuro-surgery in march, my mobility is cr*p, Ive got the balance system of a 2 year old on stilettos :rotfl:and Ive only just got off a zimmer onto crutches. and my meds are doing my ahem.....bowel situation no favours:o
Ive also got 97% of my thyroid gland surgically removed so Im battling with my metabolism all the time to keep the weight down now.....so I kind of get where youre coming from with the concerns over your meds etc - but if you do what you can, then you've a much better chance of controlling any gains that you do getxx

flora light 1 level tspn 1 syn
smart price custard cream 3.5
Ah thank you so much:A
So if i count the custard cream I scoffed while waiting for the bottle to heat up in the middle of the night:o:cool: Then I had exactly 15 Syns yesterday:p

Hi, hope you don't mind me saying but....don't forget you need a third superfree on EE. Your brekkie has no superfree and unless your lasagne was stuffed full of veggies then you don't have much with your dinner either.
Here's my plan:
Brekkie - porridge (HEA&B) and banana
Lunch - tuna pasta salad (0.5 for salad cream in dressing). jelly (0.5), yogurt, mixed berries
Tea - SW chicken tikka, rice, salad
snacks - nectarine, plums, melon
I know this post wasn't in response to me, but I was mulling this over last night actually..... if I want to do an EE day, how would I make my breakfast EE?
Also the eggs thing has just confused me! I thought eggs were free on both days, although I have never thought of them as superfree in the past, this conversation has just made me consider whether they should be??
