Evening all. I've just been watching the Martin Clunes programme about horses.....blimming AMAZING!!!!!

I might have to try the instant mash to thicken my gravy....not sure about it but I'll give it a go!

Does anyone know how many syns there are in Campbell's condensed mushroom soup (the low fat version)? I've looked on the website but I can't find it.

    Thanks x

I was a lot worse than this

I might as well confess my syns :o

    Dime bar for breakfast
Quorn burger 3.5 on brown roll (heb :rotfl:) tiny amount of lettuce, bbq sauce
    Whole packet of nice biscuits
    half a bag M&MS
    another dime bar
cheese and onion toasted sandwich on white bread!
    half a double decker

    shocking :(

oh lynz your day sounds very similar to my weekend.
    to summarise:
    mini choc rolls
    chinese duck in pineapple sauce
    prawn crackers
    fried rice
    red wine
    areo bubbles
    caramac
    white bread
    butter
an apple (trying to be good!!!)

    oh the shame
    :o

    what a disgrace!!! :(

back on track tomorrow - got 1 month to lose 6 lb at least (got a party that i want to look good for!)

    plan for tomorrow:
brek: shredded wheat (1/2 heb) skim milk (1/2 hea)
    2 plums
lunch: go for a run() buy 2 apples, then eat them
    mugshot or supernoodles
snack: ryvita (1/2 heb) with laughing cow (1/2 hea) with tomato and cucumber
dinner: tricky, going out - going to try to have chicken and noodles and veg but depends where we go.

going out for drinks tomorrow, so i have a question for the experts - what are the lowest syn alcoholic drinks?????

    thanks!
    B.

Right, I have done an enormous shop today and have lots of healthy choices in. Ironically, rushing around shopping and getting to another event meant I had rubbish food - when will I listen to myself and plan ahead? Anyway, now have a syn-free onion, celery and carrot soup made - will add fresh coriander to it tomorrow for lunch. I have the quorn part of moussaka made and the aubergine slices grilled (on the George Foreman grill), so moussaka is on the menu for tomorrow. Only problem is waiting for the eggs for the topping- we have our own chickens and they are not totally predictable! I have quorn sausages and baked beans planned for tomorrows breakfast - nothing like a big breakfast to make me feel good for the day! If not, I have bought a box of Crunchy Bran and measured out portions into little plastic bags, so can sort that quickly with syn-free vanilla yogurt.
Have two big bars of dairy milk in the freezer - need to work out the syns for that and plan my treats each evening.
So, bring it on! Good luck to everyone this week.

    B.

Most 'short's' are 2.5 syns so top up with diet mixer for a long low-syn drink - whiskey, vodka, gin etc

IIRC they are 5 or 6 syns per 28g though could be wrong - don't like dried fruit myself!

    Edit - I lied = 7syns per 28g.

    hello all

i have had a very very bad day today lol its not good as its my first week.

i had a huge carvery with mince and onion pie ( they didnt have turkey :( ) with lots or roasties.
we then went cinema and i had ben and gerrys icecream with hot fudge sauce, and lots of popcorn.

if im honest with myself, it all tasted nice but i feel really bloated now, i think my body was starting to get used to the healthier eating i thought it would take much longer but i really do feel rubbish. i will definatly be back on track tomorrow with avengence, nice big bowl of syn free soup in order me thinks :D

I can't sleep as my sleep pattern is still all over the place after staying in the US.
I am planning my food for today, but can only find a 250g Cadbury's Dairy Milk bar in my Food directory (2008/9). Would someone mind looking up the syn value for a 230g bar? I think it should be about 60 syns, but I want to get this right!
