afternoon everyone, would anyone be able to check the syns for mug shots? ive just had the roast chicken & pasta one
still not completely back on track but im getting there!!0 -
Can any one help me plan for next weekend? Going away and where I am staying doesn't do meals and only very basic kitchen, fridge/freezer and microwave, grill. So we are planning to eat out with the kids most evenings. Have breakfast and lunch sorted but family want to go to chinese one night, Indian another and chippy the third. When they have a chippy I will take a low fat ready meal. But looking in the book, it gives syns for portions of chinese and indian food which aren't too bad, but how on earth do I know what a restraurant portion weight is? Is the syn value in the book about right or is it like a half portion?
Thank you in advance0 -
Have bitten the bullet and signed up online, looked for my nearest class and there are none near me:( All are miles away and i really don't have time to go trekking all over town to get to one.
Have stocked up on fruit and yoghurt to start me off tomorrow while i menu plan and go shopping. The trouble with the world is that the stupid are cocksure and the intelligent are full of doubt.Bertrand Russell0 -

Afternoon all. Been shopping today and stocked up with more fruit and veg. I swear it gets more expensive every week
Made changes yesterday in that I didn't have my alpen lights but used the fibre plus as my HEB instead. Saved myself a few syns there
Today's menu looks like this:
Drinks - Milk (HEA), coffee, water
Breakfast - Fruit and yoghurt
Lunch - Pork steak, potato (HEB), veg and onion gravy (2), mousse (1)
Dinner - Ham and cheese (HEA) salad, yoghurt
Snacks - 2 Alpen (HEB), fruit, milky bar raisin & biscuit
Not sure on syns for the milky bar yet as can't find it on line. I'm going to have to use the calculator. I'm hoping it is about 8 but we'll have to see. Sunday night wouldn't be the same without my choccie bar and these looked so scrummy, I just had to buy one to try
Hope you are all having a fabulous SW weekend, K x:xmastree:Merry Christmas0 -

Afternoon all
The magic porridge I had for breakfast was lovely, if a tad sweet. I'll definatley have it again though and experiment with yogurt flavours.
Lunch at my parents wasn't too bad with the syns after all, total of 7 syns. I had 10 left from yesterday so that more than covers it! I turned down desert, but that was because it was rhubarb crumble, and I hate rhubarb :rotfl:.
Green Day: (will update in full later)
B - magic porridge - oats (HEB) and Activa FF yog, banana
L - 3 x small roast spuds (4syns), 1/2 yorkshire (1.5syns), boiled pots, runner beans, carrots, green beans, onion gravy (1.5syns for the flour used)
D - pasta with HM SF sauce with onions, tomatoes, sweetcorn and herbs, cheese (2 x HEA)
Snacks - kellogs Fibre + bar (HEB), tesco corn crisps (3.5syns)
Drinks - coffee, water, NAS squash
Total syns = 10.5

Afternoon all,
Having a red day today for a change.
Had 2 x weetabix and activia fat free yoghurt plus raspberries for breakfast (bowl was so big I could only just eat it all!)
For lunch I just scoffed a tin of tuna, then an hour later had more yoghurt with blueberries stirred in.
Dinner is going to be a spag bol, I'm using extra lean minced beef and chucked in loads of veg to bulk it out. I'll have the pasta with it as my other HEb
Syns so far are a little olive oil in the spag bol plus a digestive biscuit with my cup of tea I'm currently slurping....lovely!
Just thought I still have an HEa to use (the other one is milk in my tea) I think I'll chuck some cheese on the spag bol lateryum
