Can you give me a bit of advice please? Im really struggling with snack stuff.
Are we allowed pasta and sauce, mug-shots etc? Are they free?
If its not too much trouble could anyone please post a list of what I can/cant have? Im defo not using stuff like that to its advantage because Im too scared that I will be eating them and they may have syns in. I asked my consultant but she "wasnt sure"!?0 -
Hello everyone from a very disheartened SWer
WI this morning - gained 1 and a half pounds - just how can that be? - I've stuck to it religiously, weighing to make sure I was doing it right after only losing 1/4ib last week. I've been to the gym 3 times - all for less than nothing. It's not like I'm anywhere near target have over 2 stone to go.
As I mentioned yesterday, it was a friends birthday today so have been out to lunch and had a piece of cake but am back on track again - fruit salad and yoghurt for me for tea and am off to the gym again in a mo.
Have decided to give it 1 more week and then give up. Have been doing SW for 6 weeks and have lost a grand total of 5lb - which some people lose in their first week.
Sorry to be on a downer but I am literally sat here with tears pouring down my face.
Anyway - chin up, onwards and upwards as they say...........0 -

ebaybaby: as I understand it pasta'n'sauce is free if made up with water or milk from your healthy B choice but only on a green day not on a red day. On extra easy it will be free provided you also fill at least a third of you plate with superfree foods ie: free on both red and green plans. You could make up a big dish of pasta salad and have it on standby in the fridge for when you get the munchies. Cherry tomatoes, carrot sticks are good to crunch on. Red day munchies can be cooked chicken, cold cooked very low fat sausages, ham etc. I sometimes do a big fresh fruit salad for snacking too. I tend to snack on fruit, lots of it around at the mo and cheap too. HTHWhen Life Throws You Lemons Make Lemonade0

So sorry you're feeling down we all have bad times and although the plan really does work, trust me if I can do it anyone can, not everyone loses loads of weight at a superfast rate. Did you take your measurements at the start? sometimes the scales may not show a loss but you've lost inches. Are you eating enough? I know that sounds silly but you should really eat as much superfree and or speed food as possible it does make a difference, make sure you have at least 5 syns a day too, your body will hold onto everything it's got if it feels deprived. Also I've found sometimes when I've been disappointed with my weightloss one week I can have a nice surprise the next week. I really feel for you, but stick with it, read through your books, make sure you understand everything, ask questions on here if you need to and someone will have the answer. 5lbs in 6 weeks isn't so very disastrous, and if I done my sums right, at that rate you'll lose 44lbs in a year, sounds pretty good to me!! We're all impatient but maybe if it comes off slowly, it'll stay off and anyway the scenic way to weightloss is the route I'm taking because we've all got to live a life, it's not all about what we weigh. When Life Throws You Lemons Make Lemonade0 -

(((Hugs))))
Some of us lose weight very slowly (and put it on quickly). I am one of those people, and I agree that it is not fair. It has taken me 9 weeks to get my half stone.
BUT I can give you a tip that DOES work, I promise, the success express plan (it isn't in the book but your consultant will have a leaflet).... Basically whatever plan you are following (red, green, or EE) have two thirds super free veg or fruit and one third whatever the plan is. Every meal including breakfast (just have two thirds fruit, or maybe tomatoes and mushroom, or even a salad).
Count your syns at whatever the highest rate is of the three plans (this can be tricky if you have your syns as part of your meals, but I keep mine for snacks so it is easier as there is usually not much difference).
On this plan you can also have 2 HEAs & 2 HEBs a day, which I find really helps.
Just give it a 100% try for one week, and you will definitely see a boost.
Also I agree with the person who said about measurements. Did you measure yourself at the start? If not, do it now - after losing half a stone, I discovered that I had lost 1" off my bust, 2" off my hips and 3" from my waist. Thats a jean size, so even though my weight is coming off s-l-o-w-l-y I have noticed it in other ways.
Hope this helps a bit xxxI'm a retired employment solicitor. Hopefully some of my comments might be useful, but they are only my opinion and not intended as legal advice.0 -
