    Questions...questions..

Just had some ketchup...presuming I have to sin it. Does anyone know how much?

Weigh in tonight, not looking forward to it as everything feels tighter.

Does anyone know any coeliacs/wheat intolerant people that do slimming world? I'm keen to chat to someone else!

I'm not a coeliac but my ex partner was so I have a fairly good understanding of it and the diet so may be able to help you a bit!!!

    Hello all,
I have been reading the thread for a few days. You all seem a great bunch, so I would like to join in please! I lost two stone using SW about 7 years ago, after I had my daughter, so I know it works. I put on quite a lot of weight after the birth of my son, went back to SW classes last year but didn't stick with it. I am very busy (I teach and have two young kids) and couldn't always get to class, which I am afraid I used as an excuse to let things slip.
I would like to do my own weigh in each week and contribute/get support here. Is there anyone else doing their own weigh in who would like to team up? I can weigh in any day, so can celebrate or commiserate as needed!
I am staying with family in the US at the moment but will be back in England on Friday, so have been plotting and planning. I have a list of meal ideas and a shopping list ready to go. I feel really positive about this.
I read somewhere this week that there is 20 weeks left of 2010 (haven't checked this!). 40 lbs is about what I need to lose, so I could just about do it by the beginning of 2011 at the rate of 2lbs a week (that was my average last time).
Looking forward to getting to know you all,
    Liz

    Hi Liz,

I do a weekly weigh in at home - well actually in boots so I don't get on the scales twice a day!! I'm supposed to be a maintainer but I seem to be gaining 1lb a week so I'd love the support.

Morning everyone, WI day for me today and then a naughty tea for a treat!!! I'll be on plan till tea with minimal syns then I stop counting till tomorrow morning but won't be going too mad!!! I need to go to Tesco's tonight and try not to spend more than £45 as that's all that's left in the food budget till we get paid next week. I've had a yummy brekkie this morning! Here's my plan:

Brekkie - leftover rice, FF fromage frais, lemon curd (2), banana
Lunch - hard boiled eggs, salad, HM salsa, salad cream (2), yogurt, pineapple, mango, jelly (0.5)
Tea - Naughty ham and brie (HEA) parcel, SW chips, beans
Snacks - fibre plus bar (HEB), 2 nectarines.

Actually looking at that my 'naughty' trat for tea won't be soo naughty after all, the brie can be my HEA and so I only need to syn the pastry :eek: which may be a bit scary but not toooo bad! Could be worse I could be joining the rest of my class at the chippy!!!!
  • Morning :hello:

Woke up feeling bloated this morning & I think it's because I didn't do the plan properly yesterday - I'm blaming the freezer malfunction - I didn't eat badly but I don't think I had enough superfrees & didn't have all of my HEA. Can I count the salmon as a HEB on EE?? If not then I didn't have any HEB either :o

    My EE meal plan today:

B - 28g honey nut shredded wheat (HEB) with strawbs, banana & mullerlight
L - HM spicy lentil & veg soup (maybe 2 bowlfuls) & a scanbran with quark & tomatoes (hoping the scanbran counts towards HEB??) followed by a pear
D - Spaghetti with meatballs (recipe out of the EE booklet with extra veg in the tomato sauce) followed by fruit salad

Hmmmm, just realised no HEA, will have to have a look in my book for ideas. I could just have a drink of milk I suppose as I don't have milk in my coffee??

No syns either, but I do have some kitkats squirrelled away for emergencies, either that or I could go hunting for these galaxy cookie crumbles that peeps are [STRIKE]lusting[/STRIKE] talking about?? That could be dangerous though, not sure I could be trusted to be sensible

Have a good day everyone :D

    PPI Party Pooper
Hmm, not sure i'm getting my ebay purchase. Just checked myebay and my payment still says pending, so i checked paypal and it says the person i bought from is unregistered? Not sure whether to cancel my transaction and buy something else or to wait and see. Grrr, really want to get going on this. Will try and be good today anyway.

Breakfast will either be weetabix with whole milk or branflakes, lunch will be boiled egg and wholemeal toast and dinner is chicken fajita and salad.

Taken a load of fruit out the fridge to warm up a little so will snack on that if i'm hungry.

Thank you to whoever it was that pointed out that with exercise I might be gaining muscle instead of fat. I did already think that might be the case but thought it was just a myth.

    Morning everyone

I thought I would include Screamers quote here as I used this "reasoning" last night when I put on 1.5lb. I have been cycling 3 times this week and 90% of the time kept to the plan so why was the weight gain so harsh. I was shocked to say the least. When I mentioned this in image therapy my consultant (lovely as she is) said S/W don't recogonise that (polite way of saying rubbish) :D

    So here's today's plan
(HEA) 350ml sk milk for coffees

Brekkie - huge bowl of strawberries, raspberries, blueberries, grapes and chopped apple topped with Fromage Frais

Lunch - 3 eggs scrambled, grilled toms and mushrooms, 2 slices wm bread (HEB) and fruit

Tea - Chicken breast and veg, smash patties meringue nest and fruit.

I make that 1/2 a syn for meringue

    And a early night
    to stop me picking

Well done to the losers this week

Sorry about the gain, Its not approaching PMT time or anything is it? I can have 2 pound gain some months
When you say you've stuck at it 90%...have you had all your HEA &HEBs each day?....enough superfrees? or just a few too many syns here and there? Its easy sometimes to get a bit complacenent, and I often need to give myself a kick up the bum and get back to basics and read my books so I get back on track ;)
