I've been half heartedly following SW the past 2 months & lost 9lb.
Bread is my weakness & my downfall.
I do a pasta salad for work lunches but get fed up with them 5 days a week. Any advice?0 -
will it slow my loss down if I eat too many yogurts? Its the one thing that doesnt seem to hurt much or take ages to eat
Dont think so Dizzy, I have been known to eat 4 or 5 a day at times and I stil lost loads
What about couscous or SW potato cakes? They might slip down ok ?
has anyone got any good recipes for rice salads? - Well aint funny how its the little things in life that mean the most? Not where you live, the car you drive or the price tag on your clothes.
Theres no dollar sign on piece of mind
This Ive come to know...
So if you agree have a drink with me, raise your glasses for a toast :beer:0 -

They are in the last bit
I cant find the other recipe, ( so I wont be having them for lunch lol) but it uses sainsburys basic instant mash made thickly so it doesnt require flour
As I recall it,
Make up the mash really thickly
Shape in to cakes/ burger shapes
fry in fry lite till crispy on the outside
You can add spring onion, onion, a bit of cheese of the HEB, im sure a host of other bits and peices:beer: Well aint funny how its the little things in life that mean the most? Not where you live, the car you drive or the price tag on your clothes.

Can anyone provide any pointers please?
OH is following SW too and eats the same as me but he isn’t losing weight. He has about 6 teas a day with half a sugar so we count this as 3 syns.
Yesterday his menu was….
B – 2 toast (B) with butter (3) beans (F) 2 bacon (F)
L – Banana (F)
D - Spanish Chicken (F) SW potatoes (F) salad (F) (this was a very full big plate)
Snx – Yoghurt banana & Granola Pudding (6)
Cups of tea with half sugar – 7 (3.5) (0.5 A) 10 mins on exercise bike (200 cals)
NB - he doesn’t like…. Pasta, Cheese, Eggs, Noodles, Mushrooms.
The only things I can think of is that he is maybe putting too much butter on his toast and I’m not counting enough syns or that he isn’t eating enough i.e. only a nana for lunch.
Appreciate any advice you have x"People buy things they don't need, with money they don't have, to impress people they don't like" - Clive Hamilton on Consumerism.0 -
hello all
bad weekend again - BBQ with white rolls, full fat sausages ketchup, burger sauce, fizzy (sugar laden) drinks and cheesecake! Worth it for a lovely day in the garden with friends tho.
Today is EE
Brek: Weetabix (heb) skimmed milk (1/2 hea - other 1/2 in tea during the day) and 1tsp sugar (1.0)
Lunch: Chicken (6.0 for the marinade) rice and salad
Dinner: Spicy pork (cut the fat off - 6.0 for the marinade tho) and noodles and veg.
Mullerlight (vanilla and choc - free)
Snacks - tea, banana, strawberries, pineapple (if I'm hungry enough for them)

Hi all, some of the crowd that used to be around may remember me but I haven't been on here for ages. I've got into a bit of a rut, still been following SW but really need to get back to basics and give myself a kickstart. I got back from our two week holiday (All inclusive deals are lethal for the waistline) and had a 6.5lbs gain eeek. How come it goes on sooooo easily but is such hard work to shift? Anyway I've managed to get rid of 3lbs of that and I really, really, really want to get to my target this year, I did get to within 1lb of it this time last year but it seems to have drifted away from me since. I seemed to be getting good results when I came on here so here I am again. I do think it helps you keep focussed to read about others problems, contributing suggestions that, hopefully, help and getting support yourself along the way. Keep going everybody, I'm going to try and get on here daily. When Life Throws You Lemons Make Lemonade0
