  • Welcome to the newbies!:)

Mumoftwo - Fibre Plus are a b choice or 5.5 syns and can be found in the supermarkets with all the cereal bars. They do them in milk chocolate or dark chocolate and they really are yummy!:D

Helen - not sure about banana. Generally speaking if you cook a fruit in any way it becomes syns but consultant may know the answer to your question.

Hi everyone, just a quickie newbie question... If I BBQ a banana is it still free?

    Cheers x

Nope, sadly you have to syn them :(
 Well aint funny how its the little things in life that mean the most? Not where you live, the car you drive or the price tag on your clothes.
Theres no dollar sign on piece of mind
    This Ive come to know...
So if you agree have a drink with me, raise your glasses for a toast

Helen, in theory a BBQ banana should be synned, however I personnally wouldn't a s the rule is because with cooked fruit (eg stewed apples etc) it's much easier to eat load (you could easily eat 2 or 3 stewed apples but you wouldn't sit and eat 3 raw apples). As you could easily eat 1 raw banana I personally would say that cooking that 1 banana a bit wouldn't do much harm.

I'm feeling rubbish today, stoooooopid cold! I'm at the docs tonight for something else and I think I'll aks if I need anything for my cold. I've had it over a week now and if anything it's getting worse. I have a low white blood cell count which means I generally struggle to get rid of anything I pick up....if I get a cough it usually hangs around for atleast 2 months!!!

MIL was dressed up as a fairy last night!!! They came round for tea, I'd got everything planned as SW friendly and she turned up with a bottle of wine. I don't drink at home anyway unless its a special occasion but thought it'd be rude if I didn't open the bottle. I only had a small glass, drank half of it slowly and then when I cleared the table poured what was left away. I've allowed 4 syns to be sure which gives me a total of 12.5 for the day. Oh actually I forgot the mini pack of haribos, anyone know how many syns they are? The 10p bags?

I'm trying to stick to EE today but I'm starving already and only had brekkie less than an hour ago. My lunch is rubbish too as I couldn't be bothered to prep anything last night, if my workmate goes to the burger van for lunch I might get hime to bring me a jacket spud and beans instead! Here's the plan:

Brekkie: - porridge (HEA&B) and banana
    snack - plum, 2 netcarines
lunch - pasta and sauce (or jacket and beans!), tiny bit of leftover pork and stuffing (as it was going in the bin otherwise!!), melon, pineapple, mixed berries, yogurt, jelly (0.5)
Tea - Chilli (already in the slow cooker!), rice, salad, home made salsa, salad cream (2)

Oh and TMI alert!!! For those ladies struggling in the toile department.....this is a lifetime issue for me, I'm usually quite happy if I manage twice a week :eek: but this week (and it may be a coincidence!) I have discovered kellogs fibre plus bars......and so far have managed 4 time is 4 days which is an absolute miracle for me!
Whoever was asking where to get them from, they are available in most supermarkets and Morrisons have them on BOGOF at the minute.

I think I would be tempted to do a banana split amd have it cold with some other fruit on top and a bit of ice cream or chocolate sauce. Though banana in foil cut in half with chocolate buttons in is delicious!

    Morning!

Been away for a bit (had a bad weekend - the fairies were in full force chucking fatty food down my throat!)) but back now and full of enthusiasm.
But a bit lacking in the fridge dept. since we are moving soon and have to use up what we've got and not buy more. Looking forward to getting in the new house and having mr T deliver all my SW-friendly goodies!

    Today's plan is Green:
Brek: beans on small wholewheat toast (heb)
Snack: alpen light bar (1/2 heb) and a few cups of tea with 1/2 hea skim milk
Lunch: baked potato with 28g cheddar (hea) and salad
    Snack: Curly wurly (6.5)
Dinner: pasta with hm vegetable bolognaise (lots of veg and lentils instead of mince) and half a glass of wine (4.0)
    Dessert: mullerlight (free)
    Syns = 10.5
Trying to stick at 10 syns a day but i thought a curly wurly was 5 till I checked just now! might try to just have half but not sure my inner fairies will allow that!!!

Also just noticed i'm missing half an a and B choice (not used to have two of each) so might have a bit of ww bread with a laughing cow triangle or another alpen bar if i get peckish at some point.

Mmmmm, I love them, especially the ones with the little men in them, sorry don't know how many syns though :o

    kellogs fibre plus bars
Morrisons have them on BOGOF at the minute.

Can I ask what aisle they were in please?? I don't usually shop in Morrisons so I get completely lost when I do go in there!!

    Morning everyone :hello:

My blasted fridge-freezer decided to conk out last night  so the top shelf stuff had either partly or fully defrosted this morning, hence I'm going to have a pretty odd menu today I think!! Will have to bin some stuff but I think I can save some things like the salmon & fishpie mix, even if it's the stray cat that ends up eating it!! I've done a quick temporary fix so it's hopefully freezing up again as I type. I'm actually more worried about the stuff in the fridge, I bought the 12 mullerlights on offer in Tesco yesterday plus quark, fromage fraise, cottage cheese etc etc :(

dizzy, hope you got on ok at the poo clinic :D
