I bought myself a Slimming World starter pack on ebay last night. Hopefully should arrive soon, have also ordered loads of fruit and salady stuff from waitrose to be delivered tomorrow.
Could someone give me a little overview of what i can do in the meantime until my pack arrives? I've had a little flick through the thread and seen what you guys have.
Can i have weetabix for breakfast? I only have full fat milk in! Guessing that is probably not ok? Might just stuff myself with fruit:oThe trouble with the world is that the stupid are cocksure and the intelligent are full of doubt.Bertrand Russell0 -

Don't know if you have a Wii but if you do they do a Pilates disk. Have just bought it but not tried it yet so don't know if it's any good!

Awww Hun thats Fantastic news
I can feel a celebration coming along in your house and a few well deserved extra syns (well you're now at target - so you are allowed)
**And you dont get as many laughs at a normal class anyway :rotfl:xx
There will certainly be a celebration come his 1st wage packet as we couldn't afford anything special for our silver wedding anniversary in July. Am looking forward to a nice meal out somewhere  and maybe a pressie or twoIts not what you do but the way that you do it, thats what get results :T

Afternoon,
WI yesterday - i put on 1lb - but considering the fairy attack at the weekend - not too worried
Now i will be doing success express for the next week - trying to loose a few extra lbs for next week and the wedding!
Gym every day this week - might even go at the weekend!
I had recently discovered stewed rhubarb - 198g for 1/2 syn - which is lovely - but the question is... is the weight before or after stewing?
Also, i am having cod tonight but want a nice sauce to go with it that is free - any ideas? (not tomatoey as i have already had turkey with tomatoey sauce today!)
x
the rhubarb is the uncooked weight -
syn free creamy basil pesto sauce is nice on fish or pasta
serves 4
4 garlic cloves
1 tsp finely grated lemon zest
juice of 1 lemon
8 tblspn chopped basil
198g quark
salt & black pepper
put all ingredients in food processor and blend until smooth.
season to taste. either stir through pasta or to top fresh cooked fish.
syn free lemon & dill sauce
serves 4
1/4 pint chicken stock
198g quark
8 tbspn fresh chopped dill
finely grated zest & juice of 1/2 lemon
3 tbspn capers
salt & black pepper
blend the quark & stock until smooth. transfer to a pan & heat gently.
remove from the heat, add the chopped dill lemon zest & juice, capers - season to taste & serve0 -

yes 2 weetabix. I usually put some boiling water on my weetabix (enough to cover them) then a tiny splash of milk....I then save the rest of my milk allowance to have in teas thru the day, then some fruit and yog.
for meals until you get your stuff....just cut out the cr*peat loads of veggies and maybe a meat and carb. and if your hungry eat more of the same and more fruit

You can have 175ml of whole milk, 250ml semi skimmed and 350ml skimmed
Also you can have 2 weetabix as a healthy extra or 1 weetabix and 4 scan bran (like marmite - you will love it or hate it!)
As for what to do until you get the info - use tomato based sauces (e.g. passata or chopped toms) & try to have at least 1/3 of veg in your meals (don't count sweetcorn or peas though) Also meat - trim off all the visible fat & use extra lean mince etc.
Another tip: Weigh yourself and measure yourself now - gives you a starting point! Also good to take a pic of what you look like now to compare when lost the weight x0 -
Just a quick one to say EXCELLENT NEWS TAKE IT EAZY!! Very positive indeed and well done to hubby that will now take the pressure off a little bit and youll both be able to relax a little. So bloody pleased for you!
I know im going to miss peeps out so wont name but well done to all you LOSERS out there, thats so inspirational.
My "flexi" behaviour has not been doing me any favours as a v slim fitting tunic that was perfect 2 weeks ago now no longer is and is a little tighter than it was. Proof indeed I need to get back on board. And I am.
Have done better so far today and there is no junk in the house for me to eat. :T :j
However I did crack nad buy a packet of GOLDEN WONDER TRANSFORM A SNACK ( spicy) ate half. Does anyone knww what the syns are on these please?
Have had a banana and blueberries and yog since I got back ( only had blueberries and yog for brek, was starving but determined not to snap too early)
Looking forward to the steaks later with potatoes, salad, mushrooms done on the george foreman and "fried" red onions ( drool) We have a late dinner ( later and later the longer I live in london lol) and prob dont eat till 9.30.
HEB will be the tinned tropical fruit but will save that till later and have eggs and bacon beans and mushrooms in a bit I think. Well aint funny how its the little things in life that mean the most? Not where you live, the car you drive or the price tag on your clothes.
Theres no dollar sign on piece of mind
This Ive come to know...
So if you agree have a drink with me, raise your glasses for a toast :beer:0 -
