    Welcome to the newbies!:)

Mumoftwo - Fibre Plus are a b choice or 5.5 syns and can be found in the supermarkets with all the cereal bars. They do them in milk chocolate or dark chocolate and they really are yummy!:D

Helen - not sure about banana. Generally speaking if you cook a fruit in any way it becomes syns but consultant may know the answer to your question.

I think its because when you cook fruit it turns to sugars so you get the syns.....or something like that  ;)

  • Ok a question from me please. I'm looking through the SW 4 Seasons Cookbook and was going to make the Cucumber & Tomato Couscous for packed lunch for tomorrow. The recipe says it's for 4 people and 0.5syns per serving on Green. However everything in it appears to be syn free *insert confused smiley*. The only thing I can think it may be is that the dressing has 'juice of one orange' (not orange juice from carton). Would the juice of one orange = 2syns?? If I ate the remainder of the squished up orange would it then be free cos you would consume all that juice if you ate the orange normally?!

    - in my Morrisons they were at the end of an aisle where they have all the main offers IYKWIM. I don't do normal shop in Morrisons, I just get a specific cheese there and eggs, but I always check out the ends of their aisles as that is where all their good offers are.

    Another newbie fruit question...

Is there such thing as too much fruit? I do extra easy every day (this is only the 3rd week for me). As far as I understand all fruit is superfree. I eat loads. For example yesterday I ate 2 bananas, 4 plums, half punnet strawberries, 1 punnet of grapes and 2 apples.

    Is this too much?

    Hello everyone!

Hello and wecome to the newbies, hope you find this thread as helpful as I have!! :)

Been awol for a few days but managed to keep on track SW wise except for Sat night when I went to a wedding reception, was angelic food wise but drank far too much alcohol. Thankfully its another 3 weeks til I have any 'fairy sponsored sabotaging events' so should have time to make amends.

Despite the boozy session I still somehow managed to lose 3lb when I WI on Monday, not sure how that happened, hope it doesnt come back with avengence next week

Anyway food plan for today is -
    b - muller and 3 little plums
l - Chicken salad with lettuce, celery, cuc, toms, sweetcorn, beetroot, sp onion. Strawbs, rasberries and cherries to last through afternoon
t - Morrocan lamb tagine with roasted veg cous cous (made with homegrown courgette and toms :D) Half a syn for honey used in tagine
S - 1 sugar (1) Fibre Plus (Heb) SF jelly and fruit (0.5) Something else to make syns up ?? Total so far = 2

From what I understand we are allowed to eat as much superfree food as we want and it should always be first choice for snacking on between meals so I would say its fine. I eat loads of fruit and have noticed that the weeks where I do eat a lot of fruit I seem to lose more, only thing I would say is perhaps limit banana to just one a day as they are free but not a speed food, also grapes aren't a spped food I dont think. But if it isn't affecting your loss then I would say carry on as you are :)
