    Morning all

I did my first at home WI and I've somehow lost 7lbs!!!!! :j:j I didn't think I'd lose that much in my first week back on plan cos I've done it so many times before I didn't think I'd have a magic first week!

I'm working from home today (and tomorrow and Friday) which is highly unusual for me, bit worried that I might be tempted to eat more but I don't have anything too bad in so should be ok if I stick to fruit as snacks. I also have made up some sugar free jelly too which is low syn.

I'll post my meals later as at this moment I have no idea what I'm having!

There's lots of things that make no sense to me, Inazuma, but this time I decided to just go with it - and have lost weight. Previous time, I questioned everything, ignored what I thought was senseless - and didn't lose any weight. Now I just pretend I am at primary school and soak up everything the "grown up teachers" tell me. :D

Things that don't make sense to me:
:(You can mash & eat potatoes but not fruit
:(You can make carrot or tomato soup, but not a fruit smoothie, essentially a fruit soup.
:(Tomatoes are fruits and you can eat them canned or use passata (essentially tomato juice) but you can't do the same with other fruit. The passata vs tomato paste thing doesn't make sense to me either.

But, it works, so I bow to the greater power of Mrs Slimming World. Boy, it's been good to give myself a weekend off though :D
Yes, I think you are dead right - just that these examples you give are so at odds with logic! But yes, I will just accept them and get on with it! Obviously working for you, too.

    Morning ladies,
well done on the fabulous loss flutterby. Whenever the fairies tempt you today just focus on how great it felt to hear that you had lost that amount and taht should help chase them away.
No idea what I'm having today but not too much as WI tonight and * week as well so don't want to see a gain.Promised DS1 that I would take him for a Mackies breakfast as he has got to go for physio, just hope I don't give any fairies a lift as well. :)

  • Right, back on board folks. I had a sneaky peek at the scales this morning after my weekend away and it looks like I am a pound up but I have until weigh in on Wednesday and hopefully when my muscles come out of the exercise spasm they are in at the moment I will be able to go out for a couple of walks! We are having a taster session Wed evening, does anyone have any good ideas for buffet foods I can make to take with me? We had the scotch eggs the other week so I don't really want to do them. How much would small meringues be do you think? I could do them with sweetened yogurt and fruit...
God is good, all the time
Do something that scares you every day
  • Hey everyone, I had an ok weekend - tried to reign in the faries as much as possible! I went food shopping on Saturday, but did it on a hungry stomach- oops!

I was back on track yesterday and after I've posted, I'm heading to the gym to give myself a morning boost.

EE day menu so far is....

B - Bran flakes (HEB) and milk (HEA)

L - Pasta salad (cherry toms, cucumber, lettuce) with dressing (3.5)

I suppose you would just syn the amount of sugar you were using - then divide it up between the amount of meringues it makes to get the individual syn value?? I know usually shop bought mini ones are around 1 to 1.5 depending where you get them.

we had a taster session a few weeks ago - I posted a recipe for a fruit roulade that a member brought in which was only 1/2 syn FOR THE WHOLE CAKE ....... it is absolutely lush! Ive done it a couple of times at home now - Im no delia in the cake dept lol but i quite impressed myself :T
