Been to my sister's this evening and was ambushed by them damn fairies. They forced a chocolate shortcake and a jammy cream on me before my great nephew valiantly fought them off with a soggy custard cream rotflmao.gif He's my hero winner.gif Though the sight of an 18 month old with a cream biscuit could drive the devil away yuk.gif
It was a close thing but I think I got away reasonably lightly. Unfortunately I now need to syn them and work out what I can still have as my end of the evening sweet treat frown.gif
Just done it and the answer is NOTHING :(

For anyone else who may find themselves under attack, here are the syns

Part of the Furniture Combo Breaker
Has anyone seen those breakfast biscuits (Belvita?) advertised on TV, and does anyone know how they shape up syn wise? Sometimes having a biscuit with my tea in the morning means my whole day goes wrong - maybe this could be the answer?

my daughter takes these to school to have at morning break, last time i bought them i looked at the packet and they were a million calories per biscuit so didnt bother to work out syns, and now i don't go to a class :( they are nice though, thin wafery type of a biscuit, but the thought of wasting syns on a wafer biscuit when i could be having mars bar? hummmm not a contest at all! :)
  • I thought we had to leave the skin on potatoes anyway to get the fibre - not that it matters to me as I haven't peeled a potato for years. But I'm sure that's what our consultant told a girl and always ate lots of potatoes, that she MUST leave the skin on.

I normally keep the skins on but the SW chips 'recipe' in my EE booklet says peel the spuds, cut into chip shapes & parboil, I suppose it's to make them more 'chip-like' :D

Anyway, I had the unpeeled potato wedges with my chilli last night & they were lovely. I only used 1tsp of oil between 2 portions worth & they weren't dry at all (I used to use 2tbsp of oil pre-SW!!).
  • hello!

Just quickly popping by as have a busy busy day!!

    EE for me

B - syn free pancakes with banana, cherry plums, raspberries and 2 tsps of nutella (3)

L - La Tasca with the girls. I've decided i am going to have the serrano ham salad (dressing on the side) the roasted veg thing they do, spanish omelette and chicken skewer things... Probably syn laden but hopefully as all based on free food should be ok!!

After that am going to see Toy Story 3 with OH. So i did intend to save my B choice for that (kelloggs fibre plus bar mmm) Might also take some velvet crunch for 4 syns.

So syns today will be whatever La Tasca works out plus 7 i have used... Will prob go over but at least its not too bad!
All hail to the sale!!!!!!

    new beginnings...... new successes..

The sw chips recipe says to peel your spuds. I don't make sw chips anymore as I much prefer the wedges.

  • morning all, thanks for that pork meatballs recipe Mrs B might try that. The sun keeps coming out then hiding again dammit. I'm not going to mention last night, really yesterday was a treat day "off" as I am technically at my target of 2 st lost. Friend came round with "a little treat" 2 f*ng*rs of f*d*e each, at least he also greatly admired the new me and he wasn't trying to jeopardise ... also had 2.5 small glasses of wine - that's more than Ive had in a day since last Jan. Boy I slept well :) We also tried to send up two of those Chinese lanterns. One set fire to itself and died. The other flipped onto the field, rose enough to go over the house (we raced thru to the other side) and vanished. Everywhere's wet through here so nowhere will catch fire wherever it landed. The f*d*ge was better value :)

Off for a walk across the hills ending with a pub meal now. Have a good day everyone.
    :jThat's 2 stone 9 lbs gone forever:j

    thank you Slimming World!
  • Hi

Am considering joining SW and wondered if there was a 'conveinience meal' plan or something similar via batch cooking as I am going to be a solo slimmer :o

    Thanks for the advice.

they do a student budget menu (i posted it a few pages back for Lynzpower I think?) it costs £32 for everthing you need for the week-at tesco with some things that will be left over for he following week ;)
but there are also loads of other things you can batch cook for the plan. I regularly do syn free spag bols, chillis, goulash, curry all in big amounts for the freezer so I can just heat up as needed :D
