    GROAN, GROAN !!

The weekend fairies have moved in for the kill and my defences weren't strong enough, last night had a kit kat duo, today had every intention of going totally synfree to balance that out but have just been out to lunch and devoured chicken New Yorker and chips.................. on the plus side I did refuse a pud but I don't really understand why I chose it as there were salads and JP's available too, those weekend fairies must be much harder to beat than the weekday type.

don't be hard on yourself lo, tomorrow is a new day! i HATE weekend fairies, they're all out to get us. x

p.s out of interest, what exactly is a chicken new yorker?

  • Would these be ok instead of SW chips??

Cut unpeeled potatoes into wedges, put them raw into a bowl, add a teaspoon of oil (synned) & swish them around a bit so the oil very lightly coats the wedges. Add a sprinkling of dried rosemary or mixed herbs or just some sea salt & put on a non-stick tray in the oven for approx 40 minutes.

I was thinking of doing these one night as sometimes I can't be faffed peeling & parboiling spuds for the SW chips.

Just wondering if anyone else does this?? Or am I just being lazy :o

hey sweet, i pretty much always do wedges now as peeling pots are a bit of a faff if you're time short. i spray frylight on raw, chopped pots add chilli and garlic salt and bung them in a hot oven for 45 mins. hope you enjoy them. x

I make my SW chips with the skins on! I never parboil them either!!

Scrub spuds then cut into wedges
Chuck in a roasting tin with frylight spray on the tin, then squirt with more frylight, season, bung in oven, I do 20-30 ish mins at 200c, take them out a few times while they're cooking and give them a shake (re spray and season if needed

    nomnomnom
Go hopefully into each new day, enjoy something from every day no matter how small, you never know when it will be your last

I'm rather late posting today but it's taken me a while to catch up on all this weeks posts :)

After the attempted coup yesterday, the fairies were well and truly banished. Today they are no where in sight :T

    My menu for today is:
    Saturday – Red
Drinks – Milk (HEA), Coffee, Water
    Breakfast – Fruit and yoghurt
Lunch – Chicken with bacon, cheese (HEA) sauce and stir fry
Dinner – Bolognese, spaghetti (HEB), lemon mousse (2)
Snacks – Chocolate (3), crisps (6), 2 Alpen light or 1 dark Fibre Plus (HEB), fruit, yoghurt
    2 A and 2 B plus 11 syns

The lemon mousse is a home made concoction. I made a batch of syn free lemon curd, added a sf lemon and lime jelly, fromage frais and 2 tspns real lemon curd :o. It is seriously scrummy and sitting in individual pots in the fridge. This way I can control how much of it I eat :p

Hope everyone has a splendidly fairy free weekend K x

Sorry but we aren't allowed to do this. If you post your options I'd be happy to look it up for you. OR you could call your consultant who can give it to you.
