    Afternoon all

I got 2 SW cookbooks from the library today :D - Four Seasons Cookbook and Curry Feast. I'm planning on a curry for tea tonight as I have spinach to use up so hopefully there is one in there.

I was very good today. I met the girls in town and we popped in M&S and they were looking for some chocolately cakey thing and I had to stand in the desert aisle for ages and was not tempted! Also my friend bought iced buns and I turned them down :j.

I got some bargains in Morrisons too. 15 free range eggs for £2.50 - I eat loads on SW, Kellogs fibre bars are BOGOF - not tried them yet but looking forward to after reading on here how yummy they are!

Thanks I am just disappointed, dont know if I can stick to if I dont lose a decent amount in the first week. Some people lose half a stone in week 1, and I have quite a few stones to lose, and have had lots of exercise this week. Oh well, just have to wait and see. Just made a syn free fish pie to freeze for after work on Monday and syn fee braising steak in worcestershire sauce to slow cook for later with syn free chips ready to pop in the oven

This is not a quick fix, it's a lifestyle change!

You have to have patience and stick to the plan week after week if you want healthy eating to become a new habit. I believe they say it takes at least 2 months for a new habit to take hold.....it's not long in the great scheme of things.

I have members who have lost a lot in their first week (the biggest losses were 13 lbs by a man, 10½ lbs by a woman) but I have also had members who have actually gained a little in that same first week..........it takes a lot of heart to come for a second week after that, but this particular member did and lost 7lbs in her second week :T

The thing is, everyone is different - we all weigh different amounts, our bodies react differently to the changes in food, so it's clear that we'll all lose weight differently too. All you have to do is make sure you're following the plan 100% and have faith. It does work, I promise :)
I let my mind wander and it never came back!

    Helllloooooo All ;)

Been visiting my mum today then a trip to asda to replace all the fruit that someone (cant think who :o) ate yesterday.

Peppers were on offer at only 30p each (usually 68p) so I got a quite a few and im going to slice and freeze some ready for stir frys, chilli, curry etc.

Ive not been too bad today.....but now Im back home Ive already started on the fruit while I decide on tea!
me thinks the pmt monster has decided to come calling a little earlier than usual......I just hope he doesnt bring them evil sodding fairies too

Tea tonight is beef stir fry & rice with blue dragon sauce (undecided which one yet) but my half of it will be around 4.5 syn - leaving plenty for my kit kat 5.5 & 1 dairy milk cube 1.5 :D = 11.5

  • just a quickie before I nip back and read all posts since last night - Sainsburys are now doing the same thing as Velvet Crunch, they call theirs Be Good To Yourself Sweet Chilli Cassava Snacks (I couldn't see any other flavour). I havent tried them yet and they aren't listed under SYNS yet but I've done an online calculation and it comes out at 3.5 per 20g pack! That is .5 less than Velvet Crunchand 1 syn less than Walkers Baked! They'd better be nice cos they only come in a six pack.

<p>I had a great lunch, the Gondola of fresh fish and shellfish and salad at the fish stall cafe, sadly it also came with some (not too much) garlic ciabatta and I gobbled that too but I am so good usually that it really did me good iyswim.

hey sweet, i pretty much always do wedges now as peeling pots are a bit of a faff if you're time short. i spray frylight on raw, chopped pots add chilli and garlic salt and bung them in a hot oven for 45 mins. hope you enjoy them. x
I thought we had to leave the skin on potatoes anyway to get the fibre - not that it matters to me as I haven't peeled a potato for years. But I'm sure that's what our consultant told a girl and always ate lots of potatoes, that she MUST leave the skin on.
