Help, it is only week 1, started on Tuesday and been really good. I hopped on my scales this morning and shock , no change??? Shouldnt it show yet? What if it doesnt work for me? Has that happened to anyone? I have been really good!
Darnit, don't panic it can take a little time for it to kick in with some people and you've still got three days before WI. I know in the past I only lose 1 or even 1/2 lb a week for the first 3 or 4 weeks and then I settle down into an average of 2 lb a week.
I've set myself a target of 1lb a week average an I should be nearly at target by Christmas:eek:. Stick with it and keep on this board and it will happen:)S/W -1, *-1.5, +1:o, -1/2, *-2, -2.5,0 -

Thanks I am just disappointed, dont know if I can stick to if I dont lose a decent amount in the first week. Some people lose half a stone in week 1, and I have quite a few stones to lose, and have had lots of exercise this week. Oh well, just have to wait and see. Just made a syn free fish pie to freeze for after work on Monday and syn fee braising steak in worcestershire sauce to slow cook for later with syn free chips ready to pop in the oven0

Morning Darnit
I lost Ilb in my first week then 4.5lb in my second. Everybody is different don't give up, and if possible keep off the scales at home.
This is what I did last week:
On WI day eat free and superfree only, limit fluid intake after 4pm ( have your dinner when you get back) and step up the exercise.
Good luck keep us informed.0 -
Hello Darnit
It's my first week as well but I started on Monday. I must admit I've been having a sneaky look on the scales and have been a bit disappointed but then this morning I'd lost 1.5lb since yesterday so hopefully things are starting to kick in later on in the week.
I just keep telling myself as long as I'm not hungry (far from it!) and the scales are going in the right direction then it doesn't matter how long it takes.
Keep up the good workOne day I will be debt free and fat free!:grinheart0 -
aloha all. sunny in scotland today so i'm very happy! although, still not feeling very well. not feeling myself, i constantly feel like there's something stuck in my throat and have been sick a few times. managed to keep down two boilers today but the thought of eating makes me feel even more chunderous. meant to be heading out to a house party tonight, really fancy a glass of wine but as i've not been eating, it'll probably knock me sideways!!!
hope everyone is having a good day and keeping those pesky fairies away!!! x"I believe in manicures. I believe in overdressing. I believe in primping at leisure and wearing lipstick. I believe in pink. I believe happy girls are the prettiest girls. I believe that tomorrow is another day and... I believe in miracles."

dizzy, glad you are getting your toilet problems sorted!!
Your vertigo & other things sound horrendous, I really do feel for you, I'm amazed that you're always so positive & upbeat on here, puts my whinge about my cold to shame!!
I'm pleased to say I can taste my food again so can now appreciate my lovely spicy soup & chilliI was going to post my meal plan for today but it's actually exactly the same as yesterday (& almost the same as the day before that
) so I won't bother!! I'm really glad I made the chilli the other day & the soup yesterday as it's just so easy to heat & eat when you don't feel up to cooking.

GROAN, GROAN !!
The weekend fairies have moved in for the kill and my defences weren't strong enough, last night had a kit kat duo, today had every intention of going totally synfree to balance that out but have just been out to lunch and devoured chicken New Yorker and chips.................. on the plus side I did refuse a pud but I don't really understand why I chose it as there were salads and JP's available too, those weekend fairies must be much harder to beat than the weekday type. When Life Throws You Lemons Make Lemonade0
