I thought we had to leave the skin on potatoes anyway to get the fibre - not that it matters to me as I haven't peeled a potato for years. But I'm sure that's what our consultant told a girl and always ate lots of potatoes, that she MUST leave the skin on.

    Thats what I thought too.

    Good evening all
well done on any losses :T

Well we went shopping AGAIN confused.gif-I swear I should have shares in the places just lately ...anyway we are now topped up with another 36x1.5lt bottles of sparkling water, plenty of veg -the only fruit that took my fancy was melon (not like me at all rolleyes.gif) ooohhh plenty more yoghurts, some more meat that has gone in the freezer, aubergines, courgette, peppers and Im not sure what else ...but no doubt I will have to pick more fruit up on Monday/Tuesday -and I forgot to get another bloomin lettuce redface.gif
anyway -as a result of shopping etc my meals have been good -but Im lacking my A+Bs redface.gif

so it looked something like this:-
    • melon
    • 2 boiled eggs
    • lettuce
    • cucumber
    • tomatoes
    • peppers
    • celery
    • carrot
    • spring onions
    • gherkin
    • beetroot
    • nectarines
    • yoghurt (2)
    • pork balls -will post recipe in a moment wink.gif
    • 1/4tsp oil (0.5)-to stir-fry
    • onions
    • mushrooms
    • carrots
    • peppers
    • broccoli
    • 250ml semi (A)
    • 1tsp camp (0.5)
    • 1 fibre plus (B)
oooh actually that won't be too bad by the time I am done -it will be 1A+1Bs and 3syns!

righty ho -now dinner was scrumdiddlyumptious so I thought I would share as it was another "make it up as I go along job again" so then it was:-
    1. 500g lean minced pork
    2. 2 big spring onions -chopped
    3. 1 fat clove garlic -grated
    4. 1tsp salt
    5. 1.5tsp dried sage
    6. 2 dried chillies -bashed
    7. 2tbs natural yogurt
    8. ground black pepper
    • just wang it in a bowl and squidge to combine
    • I then drop a small piece in a dry frying pan so I can check the seasoning (don't forget it will develope as it stands)
    • I then shaped it into 11 -50g balls and flattened slightly
    • stick them in the fridge to firm up
    • then I just drop them into a hot dry non-stick pan to seal both sides and then transfer to the oven to bake through
I made wedges for hubby and stir-fry for both of us -ooh and I "accquired" 3 wedges too tongue.gif. we had 4 each and so I have 3 left for later or for my lunch tomorrow.
I will be making those again and shoving them in my home made tortilla wraps -I love meatballs in wraps..ooooh and I can stick my 42g of cheese in too -drool.gif -ohhh and herby quark with garlic in .... getting carried away now aren't I tongue.gif
Well its weigh day for me in the morning so cross.gif that the scales are nice to metongue.gif
right Im off to make my iced coffee
    Have a lovely night everyonebiggrin.gif

 Well aint funny how its the little things in life that mean the most? Not where you live, the car you drive or the price tag on your clothes.
Theres no dollar sign on piece of mind
    This Ive come to know...
So if you agree have a drink with me, raise your glasses for a toast

    oooopsy ~daisy~ :p get it..oopsy daisy :rotfl:
    here you go
    CHEWY SOFT FLOUR TORTILLA
    makes 9 @ 5.5 syns each
    250g PLAIN FLOUR -44.5syns
    1 ½ TSP BAKING POWDER
    1TSP SALT
    2TSP VEG OIL 4syns
    180ml MILK -from allowance-
    • put the milk in a large jug/bowl and warm in the micro and then throw everything else in and mix -saves faffing about with the proper recipe wink.gif
    • Once mixed -turned out onto a lightly floured worktop and knead for 2 mins
    • Cover and leave for 15 mins -it won’t rise but needs to relax
    • Cut into 9 balls (approx 50g each)Cover and leave to relax for 10 mins
    • Roll each one out into a round -approx 8” -they should be really thin you will need a little flour, but not too much as A)they slide about instead of rolling tongue.gifB) -we have to "pay" for the flour with our precious syns wink.gif
    • what I do is roll one, place a food bag over it and put the next one on top and layer them up so I can cook them all at once
    • Heat a heavy non-stick frying pan (preferably cast iron)
    • Drop in one tortilla and turn after about 2 mins -the surface should bubble -press down with a teatowel (watch you don't steam your fingers ) -guess how I learnt that eek.gif
    • Place inside a dry tea towel (just fold a couple of teatowels in 4 to make individual pockets) to keep warm whilst you cook the rest
You can freeze the balls of dough too... when they are defrosted they will be a bit stickier so you will need more flour when rolling out-but they roll out bigger after freezing too :D
I hope that makes sense (if not -just shout me)- they get easier the more you make them oooohh and as a final thought DON'T be tempted to use self raising flour in place of the plain and baking powder -I thought it seemed a good idea -but they came out as tough as a witches doodaa mad.gif when I tried it once

Been to visit Mumsy as usual, I enjoy the walk with my son. I don't know what it is about being out & about but I just don't feel hungry so don't eat :o. There was pink & whites on offer and also custard doughnuts but I didn't fancy them [good girl that I am :A]. I did take an oaty bar with me which I had just before I left.

    Anyway today I have eaten:

    B - weetabix milk [a] coffee

L/T - SW cheesy chips [a], 2 quorn sausages, scrambled egg, onions, tomatoes, beans, s/cream [1], oil spray [2] wm roll

Snacks - oaty bar [3.5], pineapple + muller

    Syns - 6.5

Oh nearly forgot, WI today another lb off [2 under target now] can't work out maintaining. Keep meaning to add extra HE's but keep forgetting the ones I'm supposed to have never mind have extra :rotfl:.
Its not what you do but the way that you do it, thats what get results :T

might be a silly question, but how do you know if they are low syn? do they advertise them that way??? wish i could work out which sausages are lowest syn in tescos, haven't had sausages since i started SW

I asked my consultant and she told me of a shop in Walsham le willows that do syn free sausages and when I mentioned on here about it being a bit of a distance from Ipswich, someone kindly mentioned about the Trimley ones. Post where you live and I'm sure that someone on here will tell you of somewhere near you or about which ones are best to get from Tesco (they probably have by now but I'm catching up on the thread!)
