I was naughty and had a cornetto last night :o but it is within this weeks syns so far. I've just made a vow out load so OH heard :rotfl:.. no more icecreams!! I'll have to make my own lollies in my moulds today to stop the icecream monsters.

    Good luck today everyone xx

try partially freezing a muller light or any other yoghurt, don't let it get too hard, I find 1.5 to 2 hours is about right (and the mullers, in that time, develop an icy crunchy top which I love breaking through - ok call me sad :o)

now, if anyone likes those Kings Velvet Crunch Tesco has them in bags of 6 for £1 at the mo; I've bought a couple of bags because in the works canteen they cost 50p a bag (and they keep running out they are so popular at 4syns a bag)

I'm experimenting at the moment with a trout. Guess where I got that idea from. Anyway, got a fresh trout from Tesco and because the 0-fat yoghurt in the fridge had gone mouldy I've had to mix spices with quark to spread over it; I will report back. if it's vile I'll just peel the skin off. Our local indian restaurant does some lovely things with spicy fish, but I'm having mine with some chillied new potatoes and a big bowlful of spinach. I love spinach.

I spend quite a lot of time over there..mainly because SW on-line doesn't have the chat forum -so I can rattle my head off over there...
hope to see you over there...
Yes, that's it - see you there! Thanks a lot.

Here I am, back to report a resounding success with the spicy quark trout! I slurped my way through it murmuring and mmmmmm-ing and generally congratulating myself. For one (big) trout I used a couple of tablespoons of quark mixed with a couple of teaspoons of Asda Madras Spice Blend (dried powder) and I also added a half teaspoon of oil to blend it as the quark was quite thick. Spread it lavishly on the skin of the trout. I then put it into a foil covered dish for 20 mins, then removed the foil and gave it 5 - 6 mins on each side to get the quark mixture brown in parts.

Alongside the fish I had a few new potatoes that I had three-quarters cooked then tossed in a little chilli powder. They got nice crunchy skins roasting them with the fish. All in all a roaring success!
