been feeling a bit poorly today so things haven't wuite gone to plan + we HAD to have cakes this afternoon - you don;t want to know how stressful the last few days have been at work so it was decided cakes were a necessity.
And then I'm off out for dinner with some old friends so heaven knows what will happen there but so far today - which I'd better say is extra easy as I have no idea what I'm having later
breakfast FF Activia
Snack - Crisps - oops! needed the salt. - multipack of walkers - guessing 5 syns
Lunch - half jacket pot with cheese (1/2 HEA other 1/2 for milk for tea)
Salad sandwich on wholemeal roll (HEB) with Salad crean (1syn)
Apples x 2
chocolate Caramel shortbread from the bakers - my SW friend asked me how many syns i thought it would be and we've agreed on 1 ;-)
and that's before I go out for dinner - will try and stay strong - it's a gastro pub we're off to so they should have something light.
Keep up the good work guys and gals0 -
Just had the Beef Kofta curry and got to say I didn't like it very much. Have left most of it. It was basically just spicy tomato sauce and some very dry and plain meatballs. Am hoping I have better success with other curries from the book.
Ive not got that book....so not tried it. I think the thing is tho with a lot of the curries....you're not gonna get them like you do from the takeaway-with a big extra serving of oil that makes them authentic lol :rotfl:
seriously tho the tikka masala is realllly nice and so is the jalfrezi (they should be in your book) if not I will bring this one to group on thursday....I just had my mind on other things last week so I forgot when I was leaving home....just wanted to WI and get back near the loo0 -
Thanks Dizzy. To be honest, we don't have takeaway often because of our curry book. We've discovered that our curries aren't really that fatty. For the whole curry we use just a tablespoon of oil, and there may be a tablespoon in the base, but that will do 8 curries. So I think I'll probably stick to our home made ones, they're much nicer! As for the jalfrezi in the CH book, the main ingredient is peppers and I don't like them. xxYaaay, I finally conned a man into making a honest woman of me. Even more shocking is that I can put the words "Happily" and "Married" into the same sentence and not have life insurance on my mind when I say it ;-)0

My OH's mum used to bring me cream buns and choccy stuff when I was just out of hospital after my op.....she had this theory that if someone else bought it - it was syn freeand if a cream bun goes into the fridge for a bit 1st then it goes half fat....how good is that :T errrr actually thats probably why I got so fat tho listening to her theory :rotfl: (do you think she may have been a fairy in disguise!??)

Hate to be the bearer luv but crisps are 7.5 im afraid( as per my green book which I have now found)
Potato Crisps Standard 7.5 on all plans. Amazingly "thick cut crisps" does this include Mccoys? are less at 7.0 on all plans
Seems like an easy way to save half a syn
Squares are 6.00 as well btw. french fries 5? Quavers 5? Well aint funny how its the little things in life that mean the most? Not where you live, the car you drive or the price tag on your clothes.
Theres no dollar sign on piece of mind
This Ive come to know...
So if you agree have a drink with me, raise your glasses for a toast :beer:0 -
Can I just check that the syn value for the Skinny Cow chocolate ice cream's is 4.5?
Also just to let you know that Lidl has loads of fruit and veg half price at moment. I got bag of spinach 49p, bag of onions 69p, whole cuc 39p, pointed cabbage 29p, celery 39p, baby potatoes 49p. They also had big punnet of nectarines £1, strawberries £1, blueberries £1 and loads of other offers.
I also got some reduced stuff in Tesco - grapes and sweetcorn for 50p each. And I got a new blender for free with my clubcard vouchers so I can make more soup.
