Hi doll sounds like you are really struggling to maintain (/ lose a bit) we need to buddy up luv as I am struggling too :o

Its EE for me most of the time, although I am going to try to do a couple of greens a week for cheapness :o

Do you live alone or do you have family to cook for/with. Do you regularly have leftovers?

Ps thanks for the lidl tip will try to get there tomorrow if poss, 50p for spinach is good i was baulking at 1.65 a bag in my local Mr ts.
Thanks Lynz, I have family to think about, but in all honesty I can fit my SW around them ok, I'm just soooo fed up with myself for being such a pig and spending every day doing the 'I'll start tomorrow' thing. I know if I can get started I can do it, but I am just stuck in such a rut - don't know if it's being at home so much coz of school hols, maybe I'm a bit bored.

    What about you?

    Sounds lush that does.

Can I ask how you braise the meat? I usually do mine in the slow cooker with flour and gravy granules, have you found a free way - if so PRAY TELL!!

Sounds like a lovely meal for a rainy day as it is here in the capital :D finally, it has not rained for ages and Im hoping its had a good effect on my plants that are surviving on the roof!

I just put my meat onions bit of pepper & a couple of bay leaves in a casserole dish and put enough stock (usually couple oxos) to just cover it) then cook it down for a good 2-3 hours, by this time the gravy has reduced a lot so hardly needs any thickening.....but if it does I use half a tblspn flour and water in a paste and stir it thru and cook it off a bit more. the flour is only 2 syn per 1/2 tablespoon.....makes enough for 4-5 good servings from that but I still call it 1 syn a portion....not sure why (maybe cos im thick lol)

It doesnt get the greasy taste that gravy granules gives you either

MrsM are those activia yogurts the standard 'full fat' whole milk ones?
I was counting them as one syn from the website but am now worried I am making a mistake.

    Hi there -
they are the ones in little goldfish bowls :p -the lemon is stunning and I don't mind paying 2.5syns as my usual yogs were 10-12syns each -full fat beauties they were mmmmmmmm

Dizzy -off the top of my head Im not sure which meats you have to syn -I just always calculate any new packets I get -just in case ;).

Well -I realised that my shopping wasn't quite as bad as I thought as €9 I will get back (deposits on bottles) and there was 24x1.5lt bottles of sparkling water -Im getting through loads as always.... and then there were things like shaving foam, kitchen roll etc...

dinner was gorgeous -Im developing an obsession for my home made yorkshire pudding ... the plus point being that if I have that I can't manage potatoes too -so I get to keep a heB -for my fibre plus bar :j
hope everyone is having a good evening

I don't blame you. I had a serious pig out day on Sunday (really bad weekend) and had 5 slices of wholemeal:eek: Felt terrible the next day! Can't have done the diet any good either, which is why I'm making up for it by walking for 4 miles every day :p Fingers crossed it works!

Green day for me tomorrow I think, and probably on Thursday too. Want to be a least a pound lighter on WI day!!!
Yaaay, I finally conned a man into making a honest woman of me. Even more shocking is that I can put the words "Happily" and "Married" into the same sentence and not have life insurance on my mind when I say it ;-)

Any chance you can post the recipe? I've never made yorkshires before and would love to learn, especially if they are SW friendly!

    What about you?

Im at what I think is target.

I have broken scales but as was said by some one wise back thread somewhere, I dont go off what the scales tell me I weigh, I'm going off what I look like. I had bought some size 10 dresses and also this rogue size 6 dress and when I tried them on again about 2 weeks ago, they were starting to look too big. only a few weeks after I bought them. due to broken scales saga, i havent done a weight in for 2 weeks.
Although I have no scales I think I have put on about 1lb ( on my boobs yay)

I know this sounds ever so smug ( ignore me any of you) but I dont think I really want to be any slimmer than this. I wore leggings and a waist level short blouse/tunic thing the other day with nothing covering my bum ( first time in my life lol) and I thought I looked really good ( go me) So am emotionally wobbling, "now im ok" and its buying the odd pack of biscuits ( only 2.5 syns each) but eat a handful with a cuppa. And not when Im hungry :o:mad:

Snacking is my major flaw particularly when I am overly stressed, I had piled it on when I was stressed at work ( snickers for brekfast dinner and tea on top of everything else, endless mcd's to "cheer myself up :o) "just a happy meal" on top of everything else.I always ate veg but never fruit, and the lure of anything crunchy. Am rather stressed at the moment, so can feel my head wandering to "what can I eat to make myself feel better"

I read recently that the "crunch" aspect has been identified as a major factor in stress-eating. Ill have to try and find that report it was really interesting.

So then its me with the "oh an extra this", "and should I bother to syn this oil?" And Ill conveniently kid myself I didnt just eat that mini roll as no one saw ;) Eyeing up peanut butter ( my fave, I cant have it in the house) and I know im on the rocks. Soon I will be back to my size 14-16 and wondering why I do it to myself :o

Just me and the OH, he eats brek at work and I do dinner, SW style he has not complained once and has really enjoyed what Ive made ( for once lol) however, I know he misses some of the things we used to have like HM fried chicken burgers and he would have HM pizza every day if I allowed it ! But then he eats crap at lunch, he went to greggs today and wonders why he feels rough lol
 Well aint funny how its the little things in life that mean the most? Not where you live, the car you drive or the price tag on your clothes.
Theres no dollar sign on piece of mind
    This Ive come to know...
So if you agree have a drink with me, raise your glasses for a toast
