Damn.....I need to move to where you shop lol :rotfl::rotfl:
those fibre plus bars do look rather good on the telly......ive not tried them, but im VERRRRY tempted especially with the offer :T
I've never eaten mullerlights before due to price, but was quite impressed with them I must say. Had the vanilla with hoc sprinkles this morning. Don't think I would buy them at full price though.
Those fibre plus are yummy, they are expensive so again only buy them on offer but it feels like you are eating a naughty choc bar and really worth saving my HEb for IMOSW started 28.06.10 - 4, -7.5, -1.5, -2.5, -1, -1and 1/4, -3, +3.5, -2.50 -
Screamer
I think everyone is feeling the pinch to some degree .....but to those of you just starting out with a new home...OUCH!!!:(
I really feel for you, it cant be easy.
Have you thought about maybe switching to green days?....or at least having a fair few green days per week? it does seem to be a heck of a lot cheaper:o and the emphasis is not so strong on the 1/3 superfree I dont think.0 -

I only eat the choc sprinkle ones and the banana custard (I recommend them too)....im the same tho, if theyr not on offer I dont get them. Fortunately Asda where I do most of my shopping almost always do mullers and activia on some sort of offer.0 -
Thanks Dizzy, I think I may be trying that. It's OH that makes things hard in that respect because he flatly refuses to eat fruit and veg so I end up doing 2 meals. His folks used to own fruit and veg shops in his younger years and he says he got fed up of the good stuff so now avoids it at all costs! Funny thing is, he's about 3lb overweight. He works though so whatever he eats he burns it all off! Lucky lad!Yaaay, I finally conned a man into making a honest woman of me. Even more shocking is that I can put the words "Happily" and "Married" into the same sentence and not have life insurance on my mind when I say it ;-)0

What I do is chop up some potato into cubes, slice some carrot and add onion, sweetcorn, peppers, mushrooms - whatever you've got really. Boil it up for about 10 minutes, blitz it and add it to the curry. Bulks the curry up to make it go further, requires less meat (or you can go veggie), is really filling and cheap!
Done it previously with the veg, a dollop of 0% Total yogurt and Asda Smartprice/Tesco Value/Sainsbury Basics under 10p a go curry sauce and it's gorgeous, dirt cheap and goes down a storm. Can easily get 6 portions out of it. It also freezes well (better if it doesn't have the yogurt in!)0 -
OK, the sun is out, kinda. Have just looked at the weather report and there's no sign of rain so going for a 4 mile walk with the pooch! Yay for long walks. I'#m a fast walker so hopefully, I can sweat a few calories off :-)Yaaay, I finally conned a man into making a honest woman of me. morning all
just had my WI and lost a miserable 1lb
i know it's a loss but after last week and walking for hours this week i'd like to have done better
think i'm going to try EE maybe
can someone please tell me if you buy chicken and ham and things like that in the supermarket pre-packed (like you would buy to put in a sandwich) - are these free or not ?
i think of them as processed so worried about getting it all wrong !!
i don't eat much meat anyway but think my love of cereal and bread isn't helping me , therefore EE with only one HE A&B might give me a kick start .
thanks in advance
oh and does anyone know why i can thank some folk on here and not others ??? am feeling very rude (sorry lynz and thanks:))0 -

For those of you who have mentioned the cost of food etc, I know how you feel! But have you looked on the Old Style Board? There are lots of threads for cheap meals, meal planning, grocery challenges etc which I find help me a lot.Done it previously with the veg, a dollop of 0% Total yogurt and Asda Smartprice/Tesco Value/Sainsbury Basics under 10p a go curry sauce and it's gorgeous, dirt cheap and goes down a storm. The chicken is 6 syns on green if not a Healthy Extra 'b' choice - or you could use quorn.Pay off Debts by Christmas 2015 = DEBT FREE!0
