    Hi Guys,
WI tonight I lost 1/2 pound which, considering the weekend I had, was really good. I'm so pleased, and this week I've not got a busy weekend so I should be able to be really good adn have a decent loss.

I know the feeling finance wise, my hubby has been out of work for over a year now. I'm only classed as working part-time although feels like full-time. My son goes off to college in September, not sure how hes getting there yet, bus fare costs a bomb. Then theres all the kit he'll need, am dreading it.

More bad news today, my nephews little girl had another febril fit and is being kept in hospital for tests. Hope they sort out whats wrong with her.

Anyway food wise am fine, no fairys here today.

    B - weetabix , milk [a] coffee

L - oaty bar don't know where the time went but wasn't hungry.

T - SW lasagne - quorn mince, passata, mushrooms, onions, garlic, cheese sauce - quark, ff fromage, cheese [a], with SW chips, oil spray [2], salad cream [.5]

Snacks - half a small white choc chip biscuit [son on baking spree, damn Hairy Bikers] not sure how many syns, over estimated [5] really was a tiny bit as don't like white choc, pineapple + muller

    Syns - 7.5
Its not what you do but the way that you do it, thats what get results :T

I am impressed Rupe - losing on holiday, well done.

Today I'm having a very busy morning cleaning our new house before we move next week so hopefully that'll burn a few calories.

B; big fruit salad, activia yogurt (1 syn, full fat)
L: 'fried' rics with prawns, more fruit.
D: fish with potatoes and veg.

I'm eating a lot of fruit at the moment but it ain't cheap. Luckily we have a farm shop nearby and the prices have really tumbled as stuff has come into season, so it's not too ruinous.
    Trying to keep in budget.

Lynz, I managed to pick some blackberries last weekend to make jelly for the boys but it was rather hit and miss. Hopefully you will find some ripe. Do you know anyone who does have an allotment? People tend to grow far too much of things like runner beans, beetroot and courgettes - and are proud and happy to give it away.

We manage better on SW I think, lucky to have a good sized garden with a large veg plot and mature fruit trees. Local veg box scheme is £12 which is enough for us all, plus I use what I can from the garden. I don't like muller lights or cereal bars, etc so dont have that extra cost. It is the fruit that is the problem, but because I stop buying wine and biscuits and crisps the fruit isn't so bad as long as I stick to seasonal stuff. I make a lot of soup as well - a big bag of carrots for 50p makes a lot of soup and is filling enough for me not to bother with the bread..

Well done Rupe! I am off to France for a week shortly and I am not sure how I can not eat croissants and glorious cheeses constantly. My SW book from last year shows that I gained 3lb when we went to Wales, but I lost 4lbs the week after.

Off work today and I need to catch up on Flylady lists manically cleaning before my sister comes to house sit.

B - wholemeal toast with butter HE plus syns
    L - cheese omelette HE
D - ? with cauliflower, cabbage and new pots
    Snacks - banana, grapes, strawberries

    Have a good day everyone

good luck in your WIv mummyof 5 :D

Well done too to all you losers out there :D

feeling a bit better today. Hex, no one I know in London has an allotment, everyone doing what bits they can if they are lucky enoughto have a balcony ( hardly anyone does) Its raining hard here in London so maybe this will help the blackberries. Off out for the day so I can sense some spending but I have a) some bottles of water in the fridge b) spoon fork and copsticks (!!) set I bought in malaysia which will slot neatly into my handbag for the en route yog :o

Thanks for the netto tip will have to try and find one, I think there is one in peckham, could try there

Have a great day everyone :)

I can sympathise on the expense too.. I was looking at our household accounts last night (a dork I know) and have discovered that I have used 2/3rds of my months shopping budget and it's only the 10th:eek::eek:

Our food budget is 200 a month for 2 of us. I think going to the shops every other day is killing it. I have to buy water here too as the tap water even after being filtered and boiled gives me a bad tummy which is most unusual as I generally have a cast iron constitution. I don't have access to cheaper shops like poundland and don't have a car to venture out of the city where things may be cheaper either and there is no such thing as whoopsee'd or reduced sections apart from veg that looks dead and shrivelled.

I'm toying with the idea of increasing the budget to take into account the 5.00 a week I don't spend going to class so can add 20.00 extra to it but that is only going to be 2 extra visits to the shop for fruit and veg.

My moan over too....Ohhh the price of trying to become thin again :rotfl:
