    Thanks gals :)

An ee day tends to be stuff like

    Brek
strawbs, blueberies, pineapple, mango, clementines, bananas, rasperry ( whatevers cheapest!)
Yog ( again whatever is cheapest

Lunch CC salad with loads of veg in and left over chicken or a ham
Or if Im home bacon, eggs, beans, mushrooms altohugh I try not to do this as bacon is quite expensive

Tea is the usual, lean meat like chicken ( yellow sticker, offers), salad, veggies galore etc.Pasta makes me knackered so I avoid that. Quorn mince is used twice a week usually. ( chilli, bolognese but I cant eat pasta so have with jacket or rice IYSWIM)

Do try to get the alpen lights from 99p shop, there is one over the road from me. (Always get value eg jaffa cakes etc. And have had ainsley couscous on offer )recently so have stocked up a bit, i agree they are a good portable snack and good in place of a biscuit with a cuppa ;)

I think the main problem is I am just poor !!!On SSP at the mo and my entire SSP has been spent on food, the rest of the living stuff is coming out of my savings which are disappearing.

Oh I must stop moaning now! Sorry gals :)
 Well aint funny how its the little things in life that mean the most? Not where you live, the car you drive or the price tag on your clothes.
Theres no dollar sign on piece of mind
    This Ive come to know...
So if you agree have a drink with me, raise your glasses for a toast

my consultant isn't too helpful to be honest,

i do all green days as i like to be able to have 2 healthy extras and i don't eat much meat anyway
extra easy is a bit odd to me
my consultant said we have to eat a third superfree whatever plan we follow but that doesn't match what the older books from last year say so i really don't know

Ditto - on the unhelpful consulatant - I just don;t go anymore - I figure that saves me a fiver a week for food.

My consulatant also said super free for a third on all plas so that must be "the law" now.

I haven't particularly noticed spending more but I have become a lot more savvy about where I shop. Off to Aldi every week for the Super 6 fruit and veg and some reasonably priced meat, then acroos the road to waitrose because that's the only place I've found with quark.
Cereal bars from the 99p shop etc.

Quite frankly I don;t really have the time but I figure it's worth the effort for a healthy diet that I can follow without making my son eat too much 'diet' food - he's 9 and can eat pasta for England!

I used to spend £5-10 a week on alcohol - and have given that up when in the house so perhaps thats swalloweed up the extra I'm spending on fruit and veg.

Lynz - have you time for foraging? Can you find blackberries for example? Sainsburys do a mixed frozen veg bag for 50p that is huge and ok. Also a mixed frozen red fruits for £1 - you could bulk it put with some blackberries? Huge hugs for you.

I have defrosted them quickly by putting in a waterproof bag like freezer bag and submerging them in cold water with a weight on top, normally takes about half an hour, other than that i think the only safe way to do (correct me if i'm wrong!!) it is in the fridge in a bowl but that would take ages

I don't bother to defrost prawns for a hot dish, I just throw them in toward the end and they are defrosted and warmed by the time you sit down to eat. I'm not dead yet, but if you don't hear from me again ...

hi lynz, do you have a farmfoods near you? they do loads of cheap frozen fruit and veg and quorn mince etc. and making sure you go to the whoops aisle in the supermarket. it's so hard, i always think it's cheaper to eat crap food than eat healthily. i'm skint at the moment so trying to use up what i've got then make a start on the smash, beans, savoury rice and do green days until payday as well as going to the supermarket later at night to see if there's anything SW friendly on the whoopsies. bought two bags of potatos last week and they're already green and covered in tubors. :(

    meal plan today -
    b - 2 boiled eggs
l - hifi bar, satsumas, cherries, strawbs, muller
d - frylight courgettes and sweet potato wedges.

trying to undo all the wrongs of the weekend but feeling pretty down today.
