good afternoon everyone!
i had teeth taken out so didnt eat much thur or fri - mada smoothie from some banan, strawberries, blueberries, ice, and some ff nat yog so i guess this is free?
had some proper food last nite - some dominoes pizza, garlic bread & wedgeswashed down with a few glasses of west coast cooler
nearly back on board 2day - just doin my tesco shopping online, and wondered about the flour some of you use for the pizza base? is it like wheaten bread flour or soda bread flour? and can this be used as a he on ee?
also i need some suggestions for sweet & savoury uses for quark - its still in the fridge & i havent a clue what to do with it lol!!
cant remember who posted the recipe but im tryin the syn free madras 2nite - chicken is marinading in the fridge so cant wait to see & taste it all later! if i have time il try the bhajis too!
congrats screamer & those who lost or sts & keep goin for thos like myself who have blow outs!!0 -
I peel butternut squash. Cut into cubes put in a pan with tomatoes, onions, some chopped raw bacon & fresh basil. Drizzle with a little olive oli (b option) & roast slowly. Its absoloutly gorgous
Its my 8th day of keeping those pesky faries at bay, I reallly feel the EE plan is helping me loads. Not sure if its slowed the weight loss down though.0 -

Vixie-Pixie.... I bet I started out weighing much more than youwhich is why it has shifted quickly for me
... Im thrilled, but right from the outset I have talked myself into being happy with any loss .."off is off" afterall -Initially I set myself the goal of losing 4st by xmas -I know that its better for me to set small goals and achieve them than set big ones and get downhearted if I don't! So now I have hit the 4st -anything else between now and xmas is a bonus :j..
Im another who has given bread up completely and I don't miss it -and I certainly don't miss the bloating and blinding headaches ...
Mumoftwo -Im with Vixie -on the cheese, we love the cathederal city lighter -its nice as it is and melted -I find a lot of lower fat cheddars nice in one state or the other but not both
My starting weight was 21 stone. I am now 16 stone 10lbsI've given myself until 2012 to lose 8 stone. Which i think is a nice achievable time
(i do wish it would shift more a bit more quickly tho!
)
I think i'm going to have to as i hate feeling like this(i will never learn - i was like this last time i had bread
lol)
Talking of low fat cheese - i have been eating Kerry Low Low for a while and i find that does not melt as nice as the cathedral city lighter cheese. Low fat cheeses do vary i findI never noticed pre SW how bread affected me to be honest......but thinking back.....my stomach was always bloated up no matter what I did, but saying that I could quite easily live on sandwiches if I was feeling that way out lol. But after starting SW and not eating so much Bread, the times I did- I suffered for it with the bloats and discomfort.
You might have developed a wheat or yeast intolerence....have you googled it to see why you feel so cr*p after eating bread?....its a starting point, then maybe a trip to the docs to see about some tests ?
I used to eat about 4 slices a day, every day!
I have just been on the Allergy UK website and it says on there that if you are eating the offending food regularly the symptoms run after each other so you don't notice them.
It seems that i have inadvertently been following an "elimination and challenge" diet.. as i didn't eat bread for months and months on SW and then i ate it and all these symptoms started... So i've managed to confirm an intolerance to bread and Mrs M has told me before that it could be yeast as i am fine with other wheat/gluten based products...All hail to the sale!!!!!!

No sadly not, you need to syn smoothies and any other cooked fruit ( ie stewed)
Sorry!! Well aint funny how its the little things in life that mean the most? Not where you live, the car you drive or the price tag on your clothes.
Theres no dollar sign on piece of mind
This Ive come to know...
So if you agree have a drink with me, raise your glasses for a toast :beer:0 -

!!
hope you're feeling better after the dentists
hate to be the bearer of bad news but if you make smoothies out of fruit you have to syn them
blueberries 28g 1 syn
strawb 28g 1/2 syn
banana 28g 1.5 syn
with hindsight you would have been better making some veggie soup....but then hindsight is a wonderful thing as they say0 -
thats really good to know guys! i suppose say approx 5 syns per day isnt bad considering i couldnt physically eat anything!
not sure who wi will go this week, i have noticed ppl say that they dont lose cuz they arent eating enough but hopefully that wont be the case!
really p**ed off at oh - he played golf yesterday, out last nite with the boys, played 9 holes this morning & is now away out to watch the footie!!! im luck i have sensitive gums this wkend or else id be eating the choc crunch creams!!!
and he wonders why he doesnt have money????MEN:mad::mad::mad::mad0 -
sorry theyre not listed if you post the nutritional stuff il go on the syn calculator for you
Thanks Dizzyk, I went on the website and had a look and saw they weren't listed so tried the syns calculator thing but I think I did it wrong cos it came out as free on Green and extra easy and 14.5 syns for a pack on red! I think if they are free on green they must be free on red too as the other quorn sausages are normally the same rating syn value whatever day. What do you think?
Thanks,

Since we are all being big n brave and declaring our weight I will confess to my *mumble mumble* being a starting weight of 19st 9lbs (although I was heavier a couple of years ago -and have a photo to prove it -a size 32:eek:) and Im now 15st 7.5lb (can't believe I have said that out loud on here :rotfl:) -my goal is 10st-ish -BUT if when I get closer Im happier a little heavier then I will stop -but I know that I need to get into somewhere within my healthy weight range/BMI or I will do the old ..."well 1lb more won't matter" and be back where I started in no time
I haven't given myself a dead line -but Im subscribed to SW online up until the 18th January 2011 -and then I will extend again if I need to..... We WILL get there.....and every ounce off is one step closer :j
My mum uses LO LO cheese but I can't get it out here... its cathederal light or go without (watch them discontinue it out here :rotfl:)
Dizzy -I used to be able to live on home made bread -toasted or as sanwiches too -silly thing is before I had my neurosurgery I always had bad headaches -so I never noticed the difference.. since I had my op they are much less, which is what made me realise that some of them were down to bread (its the yeast in my case)....I even get the headaches when Im baking it too
I really don't get cravings anymore either -for anything, now when I ate bread oohhh it was dangerous -:rotfl:
ooohh I don't half rattle -will get off -think I might go and make a start on fettling our bedroom anything I have that is too big or shapeless is going... I will box it up and pass it on...
have a good one all...-6 -8 -3 -1.5 -2.5 -3 -1.5-3.50
