hi ladies. i came back shamefaced after a bad saturday! i met my friend for coffee and tray bake which was lovely, then got home and drank wine, voddy, had take away pizza, crisps as we had people round for a movie night. the evidence is all around me and i feel a bit sick. a pound on according to my scales to going to be free and superfree foods until WI. i am so determined to lose weight but i don't understand the self-sabotage. i'm really upset but it's my own fault.
i was at the farm shop yesterday and was hoping one of you may know any tasty recipes using butternut squash, courgettes and sweet potato? doesn't have to be all in the same dish, just looking for some inspiration!!!"I believe in manicures. I believe in overdressing. I believe in primping at leisure and wearing lipstick. I believe in pink. I believe happy girls are the prettiest girls. I believe that tomorrow is another day and... I believe in miracles."

Aww these are my favourites
Butternut squash can be diced and thrown onto a hot frylited tray and "roasted" Its such a lovely food yum. You can make soups with it as well. I personally prefer it roasted as it is quite a sweet veg and have it either a) roast dinner b) on the side with say fish, grilled chicken, steak etc.
Sweet potatoes can be used in the same way too but I usually peel and parboil first. I always have my Sweet pots with a quorn & veggie chilli the hot/ sweet combo is lovely! Peel parboil, sprayt with frylite bake. Or they can be shoved in the oven like a jacket pot, they are sweet though so do well with chilli ( eg chopped red chilli combined with a bit of butter- synn) or a leftover portion of quorn/mince chili. I love chili can you tell lol
Courgettes can go all ways, slice them and put them on a grill/ george foreman/ dry griddling pan to chargrill and add to salad. Or slice and add to strifry curry , slice and steam, grate and add to rosti, These can also be chunky roasted in roasted veg combo but they take a lot less time than squash ( more about the same time as mushrooms)
Sounds like the fairies were out in force yesterday  for everyone
Dont punish yourself doll youve been doing so well. We all have to have an attack of the fairies sometime:beer: Well aint funny how its the little things in life that mean the most? Not where you live, the car you drive or the price tag on your clothes.
Theres no dollar sign on piece of mind
This Ive come to know...
So if you agree have a drink with me, raise your glasses for a toast :beer:0 -
i've been reading - it certainly was a fairy filled saturday.
today is a new day! it was a reminder of what life was like pre-SW, every friday, saturday and maybe a week night.
i've never cooked with butternut squash before - i've read that you don't have to peel them when roasted. do you peel yours, does it make a difference?
thanks for the ideas lynz, i'll be spending a busy day in the kitchen i think!!"I believe in manicures. I believe in overdressing. I believe in primping at leisure and wearing lipstick. Morning Friends!
Today will be a good day i feel it in my water! you all seem to have done lots of toilet talking without my help
i shall try to make pizza today using wholemeal flour as my HEB,what do i have to lose?
and also planning a BIG roast chicken dinner, now tell me,if i use wine in my chicken to cook it,do i syn it? hummmmm i never have before but only try to use 10 syns per day anyway
share my positivity today guys,we WILL get into those skinny jeans with Take it Easy!
Hiya Susan,if you use wine in the chicken dish you would have to syn it, but if the dish is to be shared (or eaten over a number of days) you can divide the syns and just use "yours" iyswim. What I do, as I only cook for me, if I'm making a nice onion gravy with wine, I put a splosh of wine in the "jus" and leave a splosh out of my evening glass, then just syn the glass. Obviously the sploshes do need to be approx equal or you are only fooling yourself
re emailing the password to non-SW members, Happybunny86, sorry but I understand Slimming World will have this lovely message board closed down if we are found to be doing that. You can understand why, I'm sure. Apols.:jThat's 2 stone 9 lbs gone forever:j
thank you Slimming World!

Hello ladies, hope you're all well :-)
The fairies moved in here last night too. Those pesky fairies sure know how to cause trouble. We bought 4 bottles of champagne and managed to drink all that (between 4 of us) then got the midnight munchies so ordered an indian. Oooo, it was lovely. I really didn't let anything stop me from having fun last night though and just went all out. Today is a new day and gratefully, the curry had lots of chillis so whatever I ate came straight back out this morning. (TMI?)
Breakfast today was a bacon sandwich
Lunch, I really don't know yet.
Dinner, also have no idea. Probably the JP that I didn't have yesterday but the dog has had the chicken so will be tuna sweetcorn instead.
And thank you all of you for liking my ring, and for your congratulations. I'm still a very happy Screamer, albeit a fat one lol.Yaaay, I finally conned a man into making a honest woman of me. Even more shocking is that I can put the words "Happily" and "Married" into the same sentence and not have life insurance on my mind when I say it ;-)0 -

the fairies are my oh, my oh's sister (she's the one on the right hand side of my piccy) and her boyfriend - a collective force telling me to eat lots of bad food!! oh has been getting a bit down about me losing weight, he thinks i'm lovely the way i am and hates that i'm down on myself. he was very happy seeing me chow down last night!
you made me smile! and thank you!"I believe in manicures. I believe in overdressing. I believe in primping at leisure and wearing lipstick. I believe in pink. I believe happy girls are the prettiest girls. I believe that tomorrow is another day and... I believe in miracles."

Morning everyone!!
Well done MRSM!!! :T Thats a great loss in 16 weeks!! Its taken me 26 weeks to lose my 4stone! Well done you!!!
I am doing a red day because the kids fancy h/m pizza for tea and I can have 2 HEa+b. Just made my pizza base: 75gram wholemeal bread flour, 1/2 tsp of yeast (think that is enough?) salt, some garlic and onion granules, some dried basil. No fat or sugar added so that should be ok for 2 HEb, do you think?
toppings will be meat feast, cubed ham, spicy chicken breast, peppers, onion, tomatoes, will need to pop to supermarket to buy some cheese and mushrooms, which cheese do you think will be best? Low fat versions don't melt so well, I find
Hmmm the memories of HM SW Pizza...lol. I used Cathedral City lighter on mine and it seemed to melt lovely - ok i didnt get the scrummy stringy thing you get with mozzarella but it was still nice!!
Although i enjoyed every mere morsel of last night's pizza - my stomach is not thanking me today... i feel awful, my tummy is rock solid and really hurts and to top it all off a headache is starting to sneak its way in (i blame the fairies..)... I'm thinking of getting an allergy test done coz this is getting really annoying now...
... why can't i be able to eat a bit of bread goddammit!!!!All hail to the sale!!!!!!
new beginnings...... new successes..0
