WI today and I think my scales are playing up. I have this [bad] habit of standing on the scales with my hand on the foot of the bed to get the scales where I want to be :D then I get off let them reset then get on again and take that reading as what I really weigh [does that make sense?].
Well this morning I did the usual, got the scales to where I'd like to be but when I got on for the 'proper' weigh the scales said the same weight. That would mean I lost 2.5lb which can't be right. So got on again [still same] got on again [still same] got on 4th time and registered I'd lost 1lb. Liked that better so going with that.

How sad am I? Not wanting to LOSE 2.5lb. My reasoning is if the scales are off then I'd probably have a big gain when really I'd either being staying the same or having a loss but it not registering. Bet that makes no sense whats so ever so am off to see the SW shrink to sort my head out :rotfl:

The scales antics made me laugh.

Last night the fairies made me drink lots of wine. On the positive side I was so full of veg that I didnt eat lots of junk.

B- wholemeal toast, mushrooms, scrambled eggs and bacon HE
L - orange and grapefruit segments
D - lamb curry with rice

    snacks - apricots, apple, kiwi
drinks - tea with milk HE

Dizzy -glad someone else has a golf mad hubby :p... although I must admit he always asks if I mind before he agrees to play in comps etc, and being in the forces-a lot of the time he is playing in work hours. I now go with him most Saturdays -we go out a "silly o'clock" and I walk round with him watching the deers, eagles and other wildlife ;)

MrsM - One of my aims/wishes is to be able to have a wander round the golf course with him one day :o.......another one is to walk into the sea in mexico on my own at xmas with no sticks or help (once im in the water its great as the water supports you and your just like anyone else.....but when the water goes I kinda go a bit wobbly and fall over a lot lol - Im working on it tho:D

No not sad, you did the right thing as this happened to me the other week after a naughty weekend I stupidly took the lower reading. Then was super good all week and ended up recording a 0.5lb gain :(

OH bought a BIG corneto style icecream home last night because he was hot... it fell into my mouth :o. Oops. I counted it as 15 syns... probably it's more though but I went on the bike for 20 mins to make up the difference. He also then produced a Snickers out of his laptop bag... that though I'm please to say is in the fridge not my belly :D

    Today (EE)
    B - 2 toast (B) Beans (F) bacon (F)
    L - Ham (F) smoked salmon (F) salad (F) couscous (F) phili (2) bread (3)
Mid aft - fruit salad (F)
D - Chinese pork & veggie fried rice.
    Even - Fruit (F) yoghut (2) granola (5)

I think that is all the syns I will have today as I need to make up for the over synning of the past 2 days.

Been on the bike for 20 mins already this morning so clocked up 12Km and will go for another 5k 'ride' later.

    xx

Well done Trixie for saying Nooooo!!!! to the snickers happy096.gif

My OH's mum always kept turning up with cream buns and choccies when I was just out of hosp.....she has this theory you see that If someone else buys chocolate-you dont count it, and if a cream bun goes in the fridge it goes half fat :o

Come to think of it.....I think she was the creator of FAIRIES angeldevil.gif

Hello ladies, hope you're having a good day :-)

Dizzy, you'll be pleased to know that I'm up early enough to have breakfast. Feel a bit lousy today but hey ho, I'll get over it. OH has just gone into Leeds to pick my engagement ring up. Can't wait to see it, I'm so excited. That may mean that my diet will probably go to pot tonight because of celebrating but I'm sure I'm allowed that lol.

Breakfast today- 2 weetabix, cup of coffee, half a grapefruit
    Lunch- Soup
Tea- Jacket potato with chicken, sweetcorn and extra light mayo with salad.

I've also got a huge bowl out of the cupboard and piled al my fruit up in it. If I'm tempted to snack on anything, I've got all this lovely fruit in front of me. I'm so happy to be able to eat grapefruit again, have had a change of medication and couldn't eat grapefruit on my last stuff. I truly love grapefruit :-)

Hope you all have a lovely day. Will post pictures of my ring if any of you want to see it!!!!

Right, got housework to do. Keep it up ladies, and good luck! xx
Ooh, yes, please!! And remember to flexi those syns tonight so you can get back on track again. Congratulations, btw

    Hi all,

Just got back from a lovely day out at Durdle Door on the Jurassic Coast in Dorset. OH and I are lucky enough to live only an hour away. We went for a walk down and up again around the rocks and beaches then rewarded ourselves with lunch.....

The fairies must have sneaked into the car on the way there.....I had cod and chips.....oops!

Oh well, it tasted bloody good after all that sea air and walking, tomorrow is another day. I did refuse an icecream down by the beach, so it's not all bad :)

All I need now are either batteries for the scales or a new set, I'm sure our current ones are knackered!
