its the same for me hun :o I need to be about 9st
....I started at 13 12.5 last wk I was 12 8 but with my tum meds bunging me up a peak at the scales is showing 13st today :( and its WI tonight  Its gonna take time to shift the weight but we can do it slowly;)

Remember the saying....you cant eat an elephant in one go-you have to do it bit by bit!!!

I think it's all the elephant eating that's been the problem :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

I know I can do it but it needs a rethink of my relationship to food I reckon. I love baking and cooking and having people around and when they do come you don't give them a celery stick do you? So I make amazingly calorific meals that are delicious and nutritious and pretty fattening. I also see food as a reward, I've had a hard week at work, let's get a Chinese. And I find baking soothing and then eating it seems the logical next step. I need to find some other rewards for myself, I have said that when I get to 11 something I will go for a trip to the place in meadowhall where the fish nibble your feet, have fancied trying that for a while :)

Dizzy, seems like we have similar goals and are similar weights now, we should team up and spur each other on!

You can still bake on SW just try some of the lovely low syn recipes....have you had a go at the virtually syn free fruit roulade that I posted a while back? 1/2 syn for the whole cake!!! its realllly yum.

I know what you mean tho about rewarding yourself with food :o I was the same, after each hospital visit...or anyday when I hadnt felt too well-a tub of haagandaz and a load of choccies. But I think your idea is fab about the fishes :D if its something you have always fancied then go for it- make that your aim! ;)

Afternoon all! Just popping in to report that we had some major family problems last night (well been building for a while TBH but came to a head last night) and the whole evening was really stressful, it wasn't until much later when We got to bed that I realised that I hadn't reached for the chocolate/crisps/cakes etc. that I'd normally do to cope. Hmmm I'm wondering if this is some sort of breakthrough, I do hope so.
Anyway, WI for me later and I'm hoping for some good stuff after all the cr*p that came our way yesterday.

I'm a reward & also say sorry with food person too. OH was moody the other night and came back from work yesterday with a 'i'm sorry' choc chip muffin... I ate it but I did have 30 syns left to use that day so could. I buy chocolate or make cakes to cheer OH up too... or used to, well still do, I bought him a Lion Bar yesterday which he ate along with his own muffin LOL

I've done a green day today and I have found when I do them byy the afternoon I have really bad tummy ache...like today... does anyone else have the same? I think I am going to try some reds and steer clear of greens for a while.

    Dont be despondent Sian.

Im sure it will all come together. Are you doing just one sort of day? Red/green/ee or mixing?

Its not a diet, a new lifestyle so we cant expect instant results!

I have been doing extra easy but my actual losses for those days seem to be swallowed up in the times I go to a party or a wedding or out to dinner and splurge on pastry and cake. So I am balancing those times out but I don't want to just stay the same weight, I want to lose. I need some more discipline when I am out.

Or you can alternatively not ever have syns on a daily basis and splurge when needed? I dont know if that would really cement a loss though to be honest.

Pastry  I cant resist it
 Well aint funny how its the little things in life that mean the most? Not where you live, the car you drive or the price tag on your clothes.
Theres no dollar sign on piece of mind
    This Ive come to know...
