    good luck Alice

Just worked it out and today I ate
a cheeseburger HE for the cheese? 15.5 syns
two chicken rolls - on wholemeal - HEs
white chicken roll on the way home 5.5 syns
    candied popcorn 27 syns
    pecan nuts 8 syns
    milk in drinks HE

Not sure what is most worrying the total lack of fruit and veg, or the sheer number of syns. Over 40 of them I had in the car on the way home because I was starving and there was nothing else.

Lessons from this - I must eat breakfast. If we are out for the day I need to take more than enough food for me, including fruit and veg. I must not buy junk for the children because I will eat it.

I think the general concensus at the moment is toilet trouble  nearly everyone is bunged up in some way :o well glad to say NOT ME. Think I've 'been' enough times today for everyone, had a bit of an upset tummy but can't think why. Unless it was all the ferreros :o. Between that and the haircut I must have lost a pound or 2 fingerscrossed.gif
Its not what you do but the way that you do it, thats what get results :T

i remember a mention of SW smash pizza - does anyone have a recipe? i'm getting OH into slimming world, although it'll be a task to get him away from olive oil, he thinks frylight is disgusting and i'm not wanting to part with syns for oil. he doesn't think the carbonara will be anygood with quark either! he seems pretty interested in the recipes in the latest magazine and telling him about these smash pizzas which we're looking to make for lunch tomorrow. one step at a time...
I make this all the time and I love it!

Mix Smash or syn free powdered potato with a beaten egg and some mixed herbs.
Add enough water to form a stiff "dough".

Press into a pizza shape using your palms. ( I do this on a piece of cling film on top of a chopping board for ease of transporting)

Spray a baking tray with fry-light and place over the pizza base.

Tip over the whole thing so the pizza base is laid on the baking tray. Remove the cling film and bake in hot oven until slightly brown.

Use this time to gather your ingredients for the topping.

    I use:-

Passata mixed with tomato puree (small syn value) for the "tomato sauce", and spread in onto the hot base.

I top mine with sliced mushrooms, peppers and red onion 'cos these are my favorite!

Sprinkle with cheese (healthy B?) and bake until bubbling and golden.

Tuck in and dont let non SW peeps pinch it!

I always have the intention of saving some until cold and seeing if I can eat it as a snack, lunch box dinner or picnic but never manage to save any!

Sorry there are no measurements as I just sort of guess.

  • Just reporting in with a 1+1/2lb loss tonight - woohoo!! :j

I was pleasantly surprised as I was rather naughty over the weekend (lots of alcoholic syns) as we had family staying. Also had a trip out to Whitby on Saturday & had fish (with lots of yummy batter) & mushy peas from The Magpie nomnomnom :D

I'm away to Scotland tomorrow so no WI next week (that could be why I've had 3 glasses (24 syns!!) of white wine tonight ) I'm just hoping I don't go completely mad & bad in the meantime :o

I'll try & catch up with everything when I'm back
  • Forgot to say, you can also make pizza using grated cauli instead of smash, there's a recipe on the low-carb support thread. Sounds weird & it is a bit of a faff to make, but it tastes lovely.

Another also, I've made mini pizzas using Aldi sesame crispbreads or scanbrans. Just add a scraping of tomato puree, top with slices of low-fat mozzarella (I got mine from Aldi, sorry can't remember how many grammes), fresh chopped tomatoes, peppers, onion etc & sprinkle with oregano or mixed herbs. Pop under the grill until the mozz melts. Yummy :D
