    Hi everyone,

I have been completely rubbish the last 2 weeks so as from today I'm back on plan. Not much food in the house at the moment though so it may be a plate of veg for me for dinner tonight!! I need to get some cottage cheese so I can manage to eat the scan bran!

Thanks to the person who posted the cous cous recipe, I am going to have a go at these this week. What do you guys use? The Ainsley packets or just normal plain cous cous? If so how many cous cous cakes will a packet of Ainsley's make up? Thanks in advance :)

I am going away 1st of August so I really want to have lost a good few pounds by then... two weeks to do it in!!

    • apricots
    • bolognaise -wants using up
    • 198g cold steamed potatoes(B)
    • lettuce
    • cucumber
    • tomato
    • celery
    • carrot
    • red/yellow pepper
    • gherkin
    • spring onion
    • melon
    • cherries
    • strawberries

that leaves me an A+B -which will either be crisp breads n cheese or a bigger iced coffee and cereal bar this evening sign0151.gif
I need to use some syns up though -so I will sort that out as I go.

Now then I have just been on minimins again and there is a lady there who has lost 128lbs and only had 18lb to go :Tanyway -she did a "fish week" last week and lost 8lbs ... so when I weigh in on Sunday -guess what Im doing :rotfl:-well I adore fish so it won't exactly be a calamity if I don't get a big loss and if I do well its a bonus...

We are going to a friends house for dinner on Friday and will be having Fajitas. She gave me the nutrition details of the box. Can I have some help with the syn value of Asda's Mexican Fajita Dinner Kit
The value below is not per 100g but 1/4 of the packet

    Tortillas
    Energy 974kj 231kcal
    protein 6.6
    Carbohydrate 38.8
    of which sugars 7.8
    Fat 5.5
    which saturates 2.4
    fibre 2.2
    sodium 0.82
    salt 2.1

    Salsa
    Energy 47kj 11kcal
    protein 0.3
    Carbohydrate 2.0
    of which sugars 1.7
    Fat 0.2
    which saturates Nil
    fibre 0.2
    sodium 0.07
    salt 0.2

    seasoning
    Energy 83kj 20kcal
    protein 0.5
    Carbohydrate 3.5
    of which sugars 0.8
    Fat 0.4
    which saturates 0.1
    fibre 1.0
    sodium 0.59
    salt 1.5

If it is to high in syn values perhaps I can skip the tortillas and just have the meat with seasoning and salsa with loads of salad

it's probably not horrendously bad. The tortillas being the worst bit. To work it out we need to know the full weight of each thing eg tortillas 100g so we can work out per portion (1/4 of the amount...) 25g = xx syns

guestimating at 11.5syns for tortillas, 0.5syns for salsa and 1 syn for seasoning but that is a guess!
