Welcome to the newcomers, good to see you  :wave:. There are lots of wise people on here that have helped me loads with new ideas to keep the food boredom at bay and keep me on track.

Well due to the weekends BBQ and comfort eating Sunday I will have put a couple of lb's on  and I am really disappointed with myself as what I ate really wasn't worth trading in for the feeling of losing a couple of lb's at WI :(. However lesson learned - again!

Yesterday I was naughty and had a corneto:eek:. OH turned up with it when he got back from work so I couldn't refuse :)

    Today (EE/Green)
B - Scrambled egg with spring onion, mushrooms and beans
    L - H/M veggie chow mein (0.5)
D - Veggie chilli, SF chipped tatas, salad
    Snx - 3 Ryvita (B) Feta (A) Quark & cucumber

technically maybe 3 Ryvita isn't a B but for today in my world it is :shhh:

I need to have more veggie days as my food budget is dangerously low already for this month buying loads of meat.

Have a good day everyone. x

Morning ladies. As i said yesterday, we had tea at OH's parents yesterday. I asked him to remind them I'm still trying to lose a few pounds in the hope it would be relatively healthy! Most things she cooks are okish but she uses oil however she decided to do us a nicy healthy dinner with veg and new potatoes.....was justa shame they were accomanying PIE :eek::eek:!!! So well over a days worth of syns for a little crappy bit of pie and some yukky gravy :( can safely say I was unimpressed! It was quite tasty though and I guess it's not their fault their a family of skinnies who are lucky enough to be able to eat what they like without putting any weight on! It's WI tonight and TOTM stared this morning so with that and the pie I'm now slightly worried! Here's my plan for today:

Brekkie - weetabix crunchy bran (HEA&B), banana
Lunch - jacket potato, beans, tomatoes, cucumber, beetroot, yogurt
    Snacks - nectarine, plums

Not sure about tea, will depend what the scales say!
  • Morning lovelies!

Well I've just realise that as OH is away on a course for the next four week and will have our car with him I won't be able to go to class for a while. I have emailed my consultant to explain, so hopefully I can restart once things are back to normal but in the meantime you lot will have to be my virtual class as I really want to go back lighter than I am now!

So my starting weight on home scales is 12.11 and I will weigh myself and post the results on here each Wednesday.

  • Hi everyone,

Well, after my 4lb loss in my 1st week (WI was Mon), I had a blow out last night!! I hadn't planned to, lol, but ended up goin to the pictures where I had 3 large white wines
and a shed load of nachos!!

Wondered if anyone had any advice? Should I completely cut out syns for the rest of the week or just have a few? I really want to lose 3lbs this week, not sure if that's possible now! I guess I could exercise but with this boring rain I'm not in the mood, lol

    Help! :(
Life is like a box of chocolates.....u think you've found one u like and it turns out to be bloody coffee flavoured!

    help! Emergency de-bloating tactics needed!

I have stuck to plan this week- had 56 syns so far so have 14 left for today and tomorrow but I have had a lot of pasta based foods. I even had some bread (HEB) had the weekend (which I have been avoiding). The long and short is: I have WI tomorrow and this morning my scales have said I have gained weight

So- does anybody have any emergency de-bloating advice??

    Meal plan for today: EE
    breakfast Activia FF, peppermint tea
lunch- homemade tomato soup (tomatoes, onions, peppers, garlic, veg stock) Activia FF
    snacks- banana, Fibre plus (HEB)
dinners- spaghetti bolognese- (extra lean mince, onions, tomatoes topped with 42g reduced fat cheese HEA) spaghetti (pasta again! Intend to only have a little- maybe 100g or so) Honeydew melon afterwards.

So can anybody help?! Any tips to reduce the bloat and water retention?!!

I would have enough syns to not make me feel deprived. If you cut them out altogether you might end up miserable ( I know I would).

I made my lamb/couscous thing, thanks for the recipe advice Lynzpower. It tasted fine but realised tjat it had no veg with it. Wimm have to have a double portion tonight (better pop to a shop)
    Trying to keep in budget.

    Hello!

Well done to everyone that has reported a loss :T and good luck to all those who are preparing for WI!!

    Meals for today are...

    b - Melon (wasn't very hungry)
l - Salad with loads of veggies, lentils and a slice of peppered silverside. Cherries, strawbs and peach
    t - Not sure yet
snax/syn 2 sugar (2) more fruit and veg sticks if I need it and maybe mini milks

I have some chicken legs out for tonights tea, I could do the usual of salad and roasted veg cous cous but i'm a bit bored with that now... Has anyone any good recipe suggestions? I am happy to use a few syns on tea but trying to keep them low as i have a hen do over the weekend, i haven't used either HEa/b yet so could use them too
