You would be having 19.5 syns with this meal plan, assuming you are having all the jelly and not sharing it:)

Hi, just some observations in red.

You would be better leaving out the sultanas or having less. If you had only 50g it would be 12.5 syns for the day (again, assuming you are eating all the jelly!)

Make sure you have at least 1/3 superfree food (veg/fruit) per meal. You don't have to with green/original but you get a metter loss.

Oh, and you are missing a HEA, but the second HEA is optional :)

You can get oat/scan bran from health food shops if you aren't going to a class.

*edit* just re-read and realised you said 10g not 100g! I did think that was a lot of sultanas :p 10g would be 1.5 syns! Which is obviously way better! Apologies for my mis-reading :p That would give you 7 syn for the day :)

Janiebaby said 10gms sultanas not 100gms - barely 2 syns worth!

Ha! crossed with your edited post - sorry :)

no probs. Hmmm, i guess swapping a scan bran for a multigrain ryvita wouldn't be the end of the world.. :)

Hi, can I ask....if you do extra easy and you didn't make 1/3 of your plate superfree food....would you still lose weight??

    Just wondered , thanks:)

It's unlikely that you'd lose much because your plate would be full of calories basically.

The reason you can have both Red day and Green day foods together on the one plate and still lose weight is because you are limiting the amount of calorific foods by adding so many (very low-cal) vegetables.

Food Optimising is about more than just losing weight though - there are a million ways of doing that! The whole package with SW is to not only help you lose weight but keep you healthy and energetic with nutritionally sound meals.

There are loads of cheeses you can choose as a HEA, but if you like reduced fat ones, you can have 42gms of either RF Cheshire or Cheddar OR 2 mini Babybel Light Cheddar/Emmental/Original cheeses.

&nbspI wonder if any of you fellow slimming world members out there can give me some good tips to snack on when I get in from work, or ways to take my mind off naughty food when I'm at home, to stick to my plan. I'm really beginning to think I've got a problem with it. I know it's bad for me, and I know I'll be depressed about it when I've eaten it, but I just do it anyway.

I desperately want to lose weight and inches before my holiday, so any advice would really be appreciated.

Before you leave home in the morning pop a fat free yoghurt into the freezer. Try to eat THAT in a hurry when you get home! Impossible, and will keep you occupied until dinner.
    :jThat's 2 stone 9 lbs gone forever:j

    thank you Slimming World!

Thanks for the gee up girls! Im going back tonight and I will have to take it on the chin(s).

Quick question though about savoury rice, is it free on EE and Green?
And what about those pasta in sauce packets?

    Good evening.
RUpe, well done on 8 lbs - that's great.

I'm having a great day here

B: baked beans and scrambled egg + brown sauce (2 syns)
L: Left over chicken and couscous with big portion of green beans and carrots. Cherries and an activia yogurt (3 syns)
D: Roast lamb, SW roast potatoes, veg. Dessert will be another yogurt or maybe some fruit.

    Snacks, mainly cherries.
I also had three nibbles of my son's maxi bon ice cream - perhaps a syn or two?

Have felt full all day too, so that's a plus.
    Trying to keep in budget.

    Re snacks...

The evening munchies have always been my downfall, so I combat this in a few ways, some of which may help:

1 I half my HEA & HEB, and have one morrison's organic weetabix for brekkie, and save the other for when I need a mid afternoon (or late night) snack

2 I save all my syns for treats in the evening

3 Every couple of days I buy three nice crisp braeburn apples and keep them in my bedroom (so the house gremlins don't eat them!) and when I feel the need for an illicit snack, I have one of those.

4 I always have in my fridge some free salad - for the dressing blend cottage cheese and quark, black pepper and add a little FF yog if needed, mix in chopped apples, grapes, spring onions, pickled gerkins, cucumber, celery, grated carrots, or whatever else there is in the fridge to make a creamy salad. Eat on its own or Top with cheese (HEA) or Tuna (if on EE or a red day) or mix with pasta or potatoes (EE or Green). This makes a totally free snack which is filling and yummy.

    Hope this helps
