Liz3yy - did you know that quorn burgers aren't free any more? they are 1/2 syn each - just incase you demolished the whole box (i know i would! But tesco meatfree are better!)

Damn! I had two yesterday and bought more for the freezer. Is it just the burgers that have syns now? I hope the standard quorn sausages dont as I have tonnes of them!

OH trying to sabotage my slimming efforts, he's just ordered a curry to be delivered at tea time from the just eat website which i rarely say no to but i had a fair few flexidays last week and on my last slimming world venture, anytime i had bad eats, always showed at the next again weeks WI! i've said no as i've got a lovely lamb steak which i'll have with a spud and a rocket salad on the side. but i think i'll have to leave the house and take a walk or drive out whilst he's munching.

p.s i'd love the madras recipe please!!

When you make the madras, make sure that there isnt a spare portion for the OH :D

Oooh these sabotaging men eh? If I was being uncharitable it would be because they are worried that when we are slim and fabulous George Clooney or Brad Pitt types would come and pick us up and sweep us away :A

Now I feel I need to explain that I do not syn tomato puree, I don’t think it should be synned but if you want to it’s ½ syn per tbsp so 1 syn in the whole meal.
I also realise that there is not enough superfree in this meal, I have tried adding veg to the curry but it wasn’t nice and effected the taste. What I do is get a selection of veg – whatever is in the fridge like babycorn, toms, courgette etc and stir fry those with garlic and curry powder and serve them as a side dish. I make sure at least a third of plate is full with the veg before I add the curry sauce and rice.

A potato and spinach side dish, along with the bhajis would inch it towards 1/3rd superfree would it ?

http://www.dailymail.co.uk/femail/food/article-1159962/Recipe-Chickpea-potato-spinach-curry.html Such as this, but using Frylite to make it free on EE, or of course you could syn the oil ?

Do you think normal mash would work just as well with the SF Bhajis? I like the sound of them as little snackettes dipped in some raita in front of the telly

    Hi guys,

Been watching this thread for the last couple of weeks and picking up stacks of tips and ideas. :j

I had my first WI on Tuesday and have lost 3.5lbs. Really chuffed with that. :j

I'm off out tonight with the girls from work for a game of Bingo! First time I've been out 'on my own' for yonks sooooooooooo........ decided to grab a Tesco Light Options Chicken Tikka Massala with Yellow Rice to have when I get back. No time to eat before I go as I'm plastered in paint :o and need a good scrub first.

But I cannot find anywhere how many syns are in it. Can anyone help please?
