Mmmmm Pimm's O'clock.... If you can get it made with diet lemonade it won't be any worse than vodka... give your friend a call and take some round....plus you can eat free food with it LOL.. surely that must be a good reason to have some.

I was worried about slowing my metabolism down, sometimes I don't eat until lunch time. Thanks for your input I will try and and manage a banana or some other fruit with my morning yog. Strange that I don't have this problem when it's weekend and I have time to make bacon, egg, mrooms and toms mmmmm!!

oh, speaking of eating out - there's a pub in this area that's begun to do a SW-menu. We called in last night, three of us. Bad night obviously as the car park was packed, there was some kind of party on. Another customer advised us to order food asap as the kitchen would be busy later on. The only menu in view didn't have SW food in it, so I asked for one and was given a sheet of paper. (I won't even discuss online the attitude of the one bar attendant, though the other attendant assured us we could order and receive food with no problem).Anyway................... shared the menu. On friend decided to abandon the SW menu and order off the regular. Other friend ordered soup (not available), changed it to something else for a starter, then ordered her main meal. I didn't want a starter but ordered the SW steak. The SW dishes were listed as being accompanied by boiled potatoes and vegetables.Service: SW starter was baked tomatoes with egg and salad. Friend said it was like eating breakfast with accompanying lettuce. The egg was soft-ish boiled, shelled and then cut into two. Her main course was shredded chicken with peppers. The boiled potatoes had been peeled. The other vegetables, all simply boiled and piled onto the plate were carrots, cauliflower and peas. OK but not exciting. My meal: Well it was a FABULOUS SW meal. The plate had a giant pile of fat square golden chips, lots of deep fried mushrooms, onion rings, a giant steak with a line of juicy fat down the side .... my heart leaped! :) Turned out I'd been given a dish off the regular menu. By then i was past caring. I said "leave it, I'll eat it". I cut off the fat, ate the steak (it was nice actually), stuffed half a dozen chips into my face, ate the two grilled tomato halves, one o nion ring and a couple of the mushrooms. I'll count it as a full syn day. I left the rest. Shan't be going back, tbh, we all agreed that. The lack of welcome combined with the unimaginative use of vegetables on the SW dish put us off.
    :jThat's 2 stone 9 lbs gone forever:j
