He originally thought it was his asthma affecting his breathing but it was the hernia (after what seemed like hundreds of tests). Luckily it's not severe but it really affects his eating. He finds eating too much sets it off even with the tablets he's taking. He gets really down with it. He wants the op that can be done but the Dr's are saying they don't do it anymore!0

Hello to everyone - I joined in 2 weeks ago after being on the plan at home for 8 weeksTotal loss so far = 1st 7lb
I enjoy reading the thread, laughing out loud and then being looked at suspiciously by the OH.....
....Who today announced he was joining me on my expolits as he found his mostest favourite jumper but it doesn't fit properly and he looks a bit of a wally. So I can cook the same meals of an evening now instead of having to make him chips and me drooling over them. The worst is when he gets pizza - that kills me. Major self control required.
Hope everyone's doing ok today

Hello everyone,
well I had a good first day yesterday. Breakfast of oats so simple made with water and a banana, lunch was a packet of batchelors pasta n sauce macaroni cheese made with water (2 syns), dinner was quorn red leceister and onion sausages (3 of them at a syn each), instant mash and asparagus, followed by grapes. Had one lot of skimmed milk with my tea and coffee all day and a portion of full fat milk with sweetener as a drink int he evening, and a Hi-fi bar too. Total of 5 syns and used all my a and b choices so happy with myself.
Today has started well too. Same porridge and banana for breakfast. Managed to avoid all the buttery toast at play group this morning. Lunch was a packet of batchelors 99% fat free super noodles with an egg stirred through and some asparagus.
Am going to see Pricilla in London today with my Mum for a birthday treat so have got some grapes, leftover quorn sausages and a hi-fi bar to take as snacks as don't know what dinner choice there'll be and I'l probably have to "spend" mt syns on that.
Welcome to all the other newbies and well done to all those with good losses.Make £2012 in 2012 member #88

Hello folks :-)
Welcome newbies, newbie here too but everyone has already made me feel very welcome. First meeting tonight (already having wobbles, and I don't mean my bum and tum).
Last night I had a proper blowout and put on most of the weight I'd lost during the week. Today have been trying to behave myself but then smelled the next door neighbours doing their lunch so here I am, feeling all depressed and fat again. I'd feel OK if I actually enjoyed the curry I had last night but it was vile!!
Breakfast this morning was 2 slices of melon and a handful of grapes, plus the obligatory cup of coffee.
Lunch was 3 slices of wholemeal toast and poached eggs (I've a serious weakness for wholemeal toast. Fortunately they were tiny slices)
Tea tonight is jacket spud with tuna and very light mayonnaise.
How is this ladies? Hoping after tonight I'll have more of a clue what's happening and whether my food intake is OK.
Off to do 10km on the exercise bike while the washing on the line dries. Am doing a lot of running around today but the poor dog gets to sit and watch me, or chase the bike pedals as he very often does.
Lost for inspiration for what to have for tea tomorrow. It's fruit for breakfast and egg on toast for lunch again but as for tea, I'm clueless. Wil have to become a member of the library and get some books, scan some nice recipes and get stuck in. OH has realised he's on a diet too now lol.
Good luck peeps, and thanks for your posts. They're keeping me sane!!
Can't wait to meet you Dizzy :-)Yaaay, I finally conned a man into making a honest woman of me. Even more shocking is that I can put the words "Happily" and "Married" into the same sentence and not have life insurance on my mind when I say it ;-)0 -

I'l give you a wave (of some sort) on the way in....dont want me falling over now do you lol :rotfl: and I'l save you a seat for when you've done your bit with the consultant before the group starts:o
You will be able to go on SW site and look at their recipe archive once you get the password.....and they sell lots of books at group from £2.95 which aint half bad.....but its an expensive week 1st week so just have a mooch on the website 1st as it lists all the books they do on there0 -

Have you seen https://www.slimmingeats.com/blog
On here there is a recipe thread as well
Most of the things you would normally make are fine for EE ( which is what I do) jsut a bit of tweaking in terms of oil or flour
What sort of thing do you usually have? Well aint funny how its the little things in life that mean the most? Not where you live, the car you drive or the price tag on your clothes.
