Thankyou so much for the lovely welcomes everyone! :):)
I have noticed a little pattern going on, it seems these men folk are responsible for all our weight gain!! :rotfl:

Well here is my food diary for the day -

Breakfast - shape 0 yog, I know it's not enough but I really struggle to eat breakfast early in the morning, does anyone else have this problem?

Lunch - Prawn salad with lettuce, cuc, cherry toms, pepper, celery, spring onions and radish. After this I had cherries, strawbs and rasberries. Pack of french fries (4 syns i think as it was from multipack)

Tea - I'm making the Puttanesca style tuna pasta bake that was in the SW mag with extra veg added (think this was all free but will check later) HEa will be parmesan to put on top, prob won't manage 28g as you get a lot for your hea with parmesan

Snacks - Got a big tub of watermelon for this afternoon and will have a Fibre plus bar for my HEb later on
I also had a tsp of sugar in my coffee this morning so i make that to be 5 syns depending on what the pasta bake is.

If it looks like I am doing something wrong, please give me a nudge! :o

I love reading everyone's menus on here, gives me great inspiration for meal ideas.
    SW started 28.06.10 - 4, -7.5, -1.5, -2.5, -1, -1and 1/4, -3, +3.5, -2.5

Yeah i had a look on amazon and they were £9/£10 each  so im hoping to find them somewhere cheaper, i hadnt thought about ebay so i will look there just to see. It might work out cheaper to join and buy them on the first night but i will have to look into that first

It might be worth sticking a "want" note on your local shop or church noticeboard; someone who no longer does Slimming World (or who like me has tried the recipe books & found them wanting!!) might have some lying around to sell to you.

All looks pretty good to me, although if you could chuck a few raspberries or something in the yoghurt, otherwise all seems great to me!

Ok, done my 10km and am sweating like a fat bird at a disco. Actually not too far from the truth, had my ipod on and dancing while pedalling. Is it actually possible to fall off an exercise bike? I got dangerously close :-)

Dizzy, the food I normally eat is about as diverse as it goes. I love my steak and chips, love certain vegetables, I eat chicken every other day. My weakness is chicken and mushroom pasties though and sandwiches with whatever filling I've got in the house. Curry is on the menu at least once a week which doesn't help as I love naan bread and poppadoms with it, and maybe an onion bhaji or 3. Yesterday I didn't have the bhajis and had rice instead. It didn't help as I didn't eat it all and was looking for munchies to fill me up instead!

lynz, thanks for the advice about the salad. Will steal OH's wallet when he gets home from work and go get some salad stuff. I'm gutted that Tesco down here has stopped selling the low fat coleslaw, but I shall be filling up with lettuce, cucumber, celery and whatever else they have down there. Have got a corn on the cob in the fridge so might cook that too to go with the tuna mayo.

thanks for inspiration girls. I love you all!

    * to add, ironic that currently I'm listening to Mika. The song that's on right now is "Big girls, you are beautiful!"
Yaaay, I finally conned a man into making a honest woman of me. Even more shocking is that I can put the words "Happily" and "Married" into the same sentence and not have life insurance on my mind when I say it ;-)

Hun search the thread Dizzy posted a bhaji recipe a few days ago

Coleslaw can be made free with grated carrot and cabbage with quark or yoghurt instead of mayo- it works well! I have a kenwood chef so its ready in seconds :D and FREE!!

Hi Screamer, and hello to all newbies you are a lovely lot, but what I want to say to screamer and one or two others is that corn on the cob, peas, baked beans etc are NOT superfree foods. it's superfree that you need to have one-third of at every meal - that is fruit, salad or vegetables (corn, peas, beans are pulses rather than vegetables, free on green but not on red and therefore NOT superfree). Sorry to go on about it, but you they do stress at SW that one-third of each meal should be superfree goods. Thanks for all the laughs girls, I read but don't post much!

I struggle with breakfast early on but i think it does speed up weight loss - can't remember who but someone mentioned earlier about it speeds up your motabilism
I normally eat breakfast about an hour or 2 after i get up as if i eat any earlier i am sure it would come straight back up! :rotfl:

I've been invited over to a friends house tonight for Pims. Is it high in syns or should I just take a vodka bottle with me and some diet lemonade?

25 ml = 3 syns, 35 ml = 4.5 syns. Then take into account if it's ready mixed it won't be sugar free lemonade!
