Thats what i tend to do anyway but today i thought i would give it a whirl, i like the idea of being able to have the 2 together but in practical terms i dont know if i can eat salad with everything:eek:
doesnt have to be salad
I just try to have half veg/fruit in every meal
If I have egg on toast, Id have some dry fried mushrooms with it ( or tinned toms, grilled toms, or both!)
My couscous salad has half chopped onion, radish, pepper, mushroom, and also done a load of grilled courgettes in the G foreman earlier for adding to couscous. Then a bit of shredded lettuce or spinach in
If I have a burger its crammed with lettuce onion gherkin. HM coleslaw
My pizza will have more topping ( veg) than base
If I have fruit & yog, I try to have double the amount of fruit to yoghurt
If i dont manage it ( and im no saint as you know!) as long as 1/3rd of everything ive eaten in the day is superfree than it works I suppose!:beer: Well aint funny how its the little things in life that mean the most? Not where you live, the car you drive or the price tag on your clothes.
Theres no dollar sign on piece of mind
This Ive come to know...
So if you agree have a drink with me, raise your glasses for a toast :beer:0 -

Ok im catching on now i think, that sounds much easier than i thought, mind you i definately need to sort my maths out cos my 1/3rd salad for dinner took up about 2/3rds of the plate:rotfl::rotfl:[STRIKE]Shazbo[/STRIKE]

Can I join you fabulous people please? I have read all of the other thread and this one in the last couple of weeks and I am so inspired by all of you I joined a SW class tonight. I am an ex WW but recently quit because I kept losing the same stone over and over again. It just doesn't suit me anymore. I have 5+ stone to lose.
I love cooking. I went to class today with the thought I would just go and get the books and do it myself at home. I am not good at these classes (I did SW many many years ago and hated the classes) I had to stay tonight and the endless waffle and clapping did get on my nerves a bit, does the consultant not give a talk herself like they do at WW, does it all get done through the talking to the members?
I did not hate it and I have sort of changed my mind, I think I will go to class, at least for a while anyway, the members seem friendly.
As I have been reading through the threads here, I have made notes of a lot of your tips etc, so thank you so very much.
Tonight at class everyone was devastated that the consultant announced that Marshalls Macaroni cheese is not "free" anymore but 5.5 syns for the box.
And she showed us the new chocolate weetabix, she said they are a HEB plus 2syns or you can syn them as 4syns each, she said they are very sweet and would be nice to crumble over a yoghurt, sounds good to me.
Here is to my first week.0 -

Reporting back after my earlier post - things didn't go quite to plan - had some trouble with my eyes which meant I decided to come straight home after work rather than risk them getting worse and me being stuck at the gym with no way of getting home.
Worked out that I had 3 and a half sysns left of 10 after tea so had half a daim bar (3 and a half sysn) but then -oh dear - a whole curly wurly as well. Never mind technically 16 is only 1 over 15.
So on to my plan for tomorrow - blowout!
Its tha annual pub crawl at work - 400+ people all in fancy dress. Will try and be sensible but I have to have something very substantial at lunchtime given that the event starts at 5 and ends with a buffet around 10. There's no way a salad will line your stomach for that long ;-). So a healthy breakfast for me and then I'm falling off the wagon for 18 hours. And to anyone who thinks I donl't need to drink, I'm walking around the cenrte of town dressed as a character from Thomas the Tank Engine. Dutch courage required. Nuff said
Good luck for tomorrow everyone. TTFN!0 -

Hi and welcome to the [STRIKE]nut house [/STRIKE] sw forum
Re the choc weetabix, never heard of a HE with syns attached, not sure I would want to 'waste' those syns. I don't like really sweet stuff these days so think I'll give them a miss.
Welcome in anyway, pull up a chair and prepare to be a big loser like the rest of usIts not what you do but the way that you do it, thats what get results :T

L - ham and salad sandwich HEB ( 2 wholemeal slices and lots of tomato, cucumber and lettuce!), followed by weight watchers summer fruit yoghurt, D - went out and had lemon and garlic salmon with new potatoes and green beans, how many syns do you think that would be? (i went to toby carvery for this and can't find it any where so work out syns)? S - 2 babybels HEA and scoop of low fat ice cream at 4 syns and meringue nest at 2.5 syns. I think this sounds better than yesterday think i'm getting the hang of it now 2nd day in and i'm trying to lose the WW habits.

I think you are right about the weetabix, I'd rather have a cocoa rocks bar for 4syns.0
