I have been trying to be good at work, no biscuits have passed my lips and I even turned down carrot cake and cream cheese icing and have had lots of mullers and salad instead. I have been letting myself have a treat every day at the end of the day so I store my syns up, last night was a Wispa, so delicious! I just want to have something to show for it! I will go to class but not stay for the meeting bit, I don't like having it all read out around the circle and having to say how I did it, makes me squirm! I have rejoined SW for the I don't know how many'th time as I have finally gotten to the point again where I have simply had enough of being this fat.
Welcome Nuninge! I too am a serial SW'er, but this time has been different - which has had a great deal to do with the daily support of the people on here.
Also I think it is partly because of the EE emphasis on lots of veg/fruit/salad that was never really a high priority on the old red/green plans. I still tend to do original and green, because I need the extra HEs, but I combine it with the 1/3 rule, and it has worked for me.
One thing I would say is measure yourself NOW. I have never done this when I've done SW before, but honestly I am so pleased I measured myself this time - on the weeks I maintain, or gain, the thing that keeps me going is the fact that whatever the scales say, I can look back and see how many inches I have lost.

Afternoon all
Trixietoes.... can you get vanilla quark out there? we get it here and its like cold custard  -ok "cheap cold custard" -but custard non the less -I think its 2syns per 100g and we get cherry and peach n maracua too. We get a mixed herb quark that is free and I use oodles of it :T
Well I have made my fish pies and just need to whack them in the oven when hubby get in --pinkies crossed they taste as good as I hope -they look proper comfort food :j. I will post the recipe later -if its good
I have just had a NSV too .... I have tried a couple of items that I haven't work for the last couple of years (a pair of 3/4 black jeans and a straight long black skirt-both with fixed waistbands)-and "whoop whoop" they blinkin fit -and I mean fit -not the squash it all in and cut your circulation of kind of FIT :rotfl:... I went in search of new 3/4 jeans the other day -hubby was threatening to buy me braces as my trousers fell down in the kitchen the other day -and Im forever hitching them up....Glad I didn't find any as I was looking for them in 3 sizes bigger than I just got in -so I have shrunk a total of 7 dress sizes ...still have a long way to go -but Im on my way
right -off again...

Am feeling yukkkkkkkkkkkkkkkk, IBS has been playing up this week and have had to resort to tummy powders and tablets. Not had much to eat today as feel really bloated every time I eat. So far just had usual breakfast [weetabix] and a mugshot with couscous fritta for lunch and now feeling really queasy _pale_. Am wondering if its the water I'm drinking [making me feel bloated] had 500ml more or less straight down + a glass of diet pepsi. Have melon and pineapple all prepared but can't face it so will have for tea possibly.
Going for a lie down nowIts not what you do but the way that you do it, thats what get results :T

Daisy
I second this... I have lost 10 inches all over but only lost 8.5lb so far. On my + weeks I don't lose heart as I can see by the figures I am smaller."People buy things they don't need, with money they don't have, to impress people they don't like" - Clive Hamilton on Consumerism.0 -

Ooh, that really made me grin, thank you! That and the helium balloons I am tying to myself might work. I shall cut my toenails, blow my nose and not wear any socks too!Good on youI sometimes think tho it helps to stay to the meeting, I can get my head round stuff and motivate myself a bit when ive had a bad week....and pick up a few tips and recipes to share
I normally do stay, I have to help a friend move house though tonight so will go and do my job on the scales (where I love getting to encourage other people and chat to them) and then nip off!God is good, all the time

MrsM I think I can, Carefour do something that looks like it could be, there is vanilla, strawberry and a nut and raisin looking one. It says Serek on it which is cheese but I'm not sure if it is quark as that is Twarog. I'll get some next time and ask someone nicely to syn it for me (if I can work out what is what). I've had it before without knowing what it was.... I agree cold custard.. MMMMM.
There are a few savoury ones here... cucumber and dill (new fav) garlic, radish (!?!) and chives. I have 5 tubs of the stuff in the fridge at the moment LOL
A total of 7 dress sizes!!! That is amazing.... I am so impressed and envious, I bet you feel so pleased with yourself. A MASSIVE WELL DONE! :T:T:T"People buy things they don't need, with money they don't have, to impress people they don't like" - Clive Hamilton on Consumerism.0 -
is there a recipe for this? i dont think i would attempt to make it without one, it seems a bit odd (sorry) but i love flavoured couscous so maybe a sweet one would be ok:) apple and cinamon are also favourites but do you need anything else:o
As far as I know there's no recipe - it's just a made up thing. I can't remember if I made it up myself or was given it by someone else it's so long ago, lol.
I put 4 or 5 (maybe 6 depending how hungry I am) tablespoons of couscous into a bowl. Pour over boiling water to cover (with maybe ½ cm water above the couscous). Either leave it to stand with a lid on for 8 - 10 mins to soak up the water, or, if in a rush, pop it in the microwave for 2 mins.
Once the water is soaked up, chop up a banana, or throw in some berries and a Mullerlight with a matching flavour (raspberry & cranberry is nice with forest fruits).
Stir it all up and eat - may not look all that inviting (I've been told it looked like vomit by one member in group ) but almost everyone who tasted, it liked it. It's filling and saves your HEs for the evening when you seem to want more.I let my mind wander and it never came back!0
