Thanks Lynzpower, that made me grin from ear to ear!
Yaaay, I finally conned a man into making a honest woman of me. Even more shocking is that I can put the words "Happily" and "Married" into the same sentence and not have life insurance on my mind when I say it ;-)

I have rejoined SW for the I don't know how many'th time as I have finally gotten to the point again where I have simply had enough of being this fat. It's always worked for me in the past but I've always put the weight back on afterwards (and more...it's so bad at the moment that I asked not to know my weight and they just put it in the book instead. I've managed to avoid looking so far!!) A number of things have sparked it this time: having only one pair of work trousers that actually fit and having to wash them a couple of times every week, always wearing a cardigan no matter what the weather in order to try to hide my back fat and general Michelin tyre, getting on a plane and having to extend the belt about as far as it went to be able to do it up whilst also feeling my thighs squishing out either side of the seat, not wanting to have photos taken (I can count on one hand the number of photos of me and my 20 month son I have), the flap of fat that is my stomach (graphic I'm sorry!) and the thought of getting pregnant again whilst this overweight. I've come on here to try and finda new way to keep my motivation going when I feel it flagging and to be able to celebrate other people's successes and have mine equally celebrated. I hope to get to know you all soon and hope to share good news next Tuesday after my first weigh in!!

how sad are you girl? there is no need to be,the journey starts with the first step, well done,am i sounding a bit " american help group" how about, hiya i am susan, its been 3 weeks since my last mars bar?" < i hope you are all clapping enthusiastically>

i married a man that likes skinny women, when he kept oogling bloody anorexic thingy ehrm Eva Longoria i had to do summert,so i got my size 16 !!!! (but i have great tits) down to Slimming World meeting and now a size 12 (if its a genourous cut) so you can do it too and we're here to hold your hand,at least it will hinder your mars bar opening, and the wrapper tastes awful! ;)

Hey all, we have a friend to stay on Friday for the weekend. I was wondering is it worth keeping my syns low until then to compensate for any times when I can't choose syn free or low syn meals when we go out?

    Hello losers

On the last page someone mentioned McDonald's. Actually it's that that made me decide that I had to do something about my weight. I went into Shipley the other day to get something for OH and knew there was a McDonalds somewhere. I had a good look for it but couldn't find it so decided to just get the train home and go to the sandwich shop in the village. On the way back to the train station I walked past a pub which has a banner on the side emblazoned with "Slimming world group held here, call *insert number* for information. I instantly felt guilty and decided if I'm unhappy about my weight then massive sandwiches, a McDonalds or a Ginsters chicken and mushroom pasty won't do me any favours. So, here I am, and very keen to get started.

NO MORE PIES, CAKES, CHOCOLATE etc FOR ME :-)

that was me girl,i just started to work there,i get great discount, the kids are dead impressed, but i can resist it,truly,my ex consultant said,"you won't get any slimmer if you continue to eat that stuff" see why i dumped her? cow..... thin cow!!!! how dare she? :rotfl:

lots of sadness in the room today,if it persists you leave me no choice but to tell you some REALLY bad jokes, you have been warned, now off to try some couscous, wish me luck? :D

    Yeah, you can do Liz.

Especially if you are going to have a drinkie-poo./

However, there are lots of things you can eat out within the syns, eg chinese, some indian meals, nandos. wherever you go there is a low syn option unless you go to pizza express or anywhere of that ilk !

Well done Janie and all losers. I went down by 2 lb this week too (one pound really as I put a pound ON last week!). Still, I've worked out I have 2.5 lbs to go to target, hopefully in a couple of weeks. Then I shall give myself a break (free classes!) until 13th Sept when I shall set a new target one stone lower, and that will take me up to Christmas at an average of one pound per week :)I agree about Kelly's plan yesterday, not nearly enough vegetables/salad/fruit, you could have piled cucumber and other salad bits into the ham roll, that would've helped, Kelly.

Thanks for the info, will get some salad bits when i go shopping.
planning an EE da again and definenately getting some salad in there. Well done to all the losses this week, its really encouraging and hope i'm on the right track with SW instead of WW. Right i'm going healthy shopping now.
    Have a good day everyone.
    Kelly x

just making my potato salad and I decided to mix in garlic and herb quark in the 0% yoghurt as an experiment.... OMG yum yum yum. It would make a fab dip for naughty nachos or angelic crudites

If anyone is interested.... 1 spring onion finely sliced. 2 or 3 tbsp flavoured quark, same 0% yoghurt, salt & pepper and mix and leave for the flavours all to mix up. I added chopped up baby gerkins to mine too as I like them. Add cooled boiled tatas for a lovely free potato salad.

    Thanks :)

We do actually plan on having a chinese Friday night, I could have boiled rice and......whatever is low syn! I'd better check the syn list in the book

My friend said she wants to take us out for a meal when she's here at the weekend, where that will be I don't know yet but I'm sure it'll be ok syn wise.

I really want to make a go of it now as I really let things slide at the weekend. We went to London for 3 days and I thought nuts to healthy eating, I'm on holiday and I'm going to enjoy it.....I put on 4lbs!!!!!!! I'm now a stone heavier than a year ago :( and I'm only 4,11!!!

Anyways, I've already lost 2lb this week and even with my friend to stay am determined to get back to a healthy weight. My boyfriend is being supportive though he did say that only I can do this....I so want to prove him right
