If I were you I would copy this and keep it in your handbag or somewhere..I have my skinny reasons on the fridge.

Its great when you have lost a stone and feel better about yourself, to have the reasons why you joined to look back on to keep you going.

I have rejoined SW for the I don't know how many'th time as I have finally gotten to the point again where I have simply had enough of being this fat. It's always worked for me in the past but I've always put the weight back on afterwards (and more...it's so bad at the moment that I asked not to know my weight and they just put it in the book instead. I've managed to avoid looking so far!!) A number of things have sparked it this time: having only one pair of work trousers that actually fit and having to wash them a couple of times every week, always wearing a cardigan no matter what the weather in order to try to hide my back fat and general Michelin tyre, getting on a plane and having to extend the belt about as far as it went to be able to do it up whilst also feeling my thighs squishing out either side of the seat, not wanting to have photos taken (I can count on one hand the number of photos of me and my 20 month son I have), the flap of fat that is my stomach (graphic I'm sorry!) and the thought of getting pregnant again whilst this overweight. I've come on here to try and finda new way to keep my motivation going when I feel it flagging and to be able to celebrate other people's successes and have mine equally celebrated. I hope to get to know you all soon and hope to share good news next Tuesday after my first weigh in!!

    Welcome!

It isnt a diet though :D So there is no need to ever "stop" it. We all have days where we are tempted and give in, but the support here makes you get back on plan and put a little wobble behind you.

I sense a lot of sadness in your post. Ive been there too HATING having my picture taken, HATING going clothes shopping HATING glancing at myself in the reflection. Just SO depressing!

I would definitely have some pictures taken now with your son as you go along your journey. Im going to see if I can dig out some older ones of me to look at. I have come so far from my blobby covered up self. Beware though, you might need to dig deep in the pockets for smaller clothes as you go on as your current clothes will become too big, pretty quickly! :T

I also have a slimming world magazine propped up in my kitchen with the cover of a lady in a very slinky dress, she looks so fantastic, I keep it there and glance at it all the time.

Good luck, if you want it you can do it!

COUSCOUS UPDATE- was not that nice :( Tasted quite doughy. Im going to look for another recipe instead. Concept good, outcome quite gross. I have the Morrison couscous- plain and the packet says it needs oil and butter which I didn't use. I ight try and find a different brand.... ? So I left it and will be having alpen lites as normal.

Pudding tonight will be this http://www.slimmingworld.com/healthy_eating/recipe_cherry_clafoutis.asp

    looks nice!
 Well aint funny how its the little things in life that mean the most? Not where you live, the car you drive or the price tag on your clothes.
Theres no dollar sign on piece of mind
    This Ive come to know...
So if you agree have a drink with me, raise your glasses for a toast

The other week I bought a dress that is a Uk size 6  ( it is a generous cut though, well it must be :p) Im now starting to fear its going to be too big   Will try it on in a bit

Good for you!! Love the thought of you stalking the lady!
When I was a size 18 (but could have done with a 20!!) I used to think I would be happy to be a size 14.

Now I actually fit in a few size 14 things, I think keep going, and I am not going to stop till I have got rid of my jelly belly!

    Hello losers

Have just had breakfast, because apparently it's good for me but now feel really sick. That really is going to take some getting used to. I haven't really had breakfast since I was at school which was a very long time ago but here's hoping it gives me the energy to take the dog for a really long walk today.

Dizzy, my heart really goes out to you hun. Physio is awful at the best of times but when it affects other things I can imagine it makes you feel terrible. Big hugs to you!

Although it's only been 2 days of "better eating" I'm already so keen it's shocking. Really can't wait to go to group tomorrow.

On the last page someone mentioned McDonald's. Actually it's that that made me decide that I had to do something about my weight. I went into Shipley the other day to get something for OH and knew there was a McDonalds somewhere. I had a good look for it but couldn't find it so decided to just get the train home and go to the sandwich shop in the village. On the way back to the train station I walked past a pub which has a banner on the side emblazoned with "Slimming world group held here, call *insert number* for information. I instantly felt guilty and decided if I'm unhappy about my weight then massive sandwiches, a McDonalds or a Ginsters chicken and mushroom pasty won't do me any favours. So, here I am, and very keen to get started.

On the Saturday just gone I weighed myself and I came in at a hefty 11st 7. I've just got on the scales and thanks to not drinking, eating better and a bit more exercise I'm only 11st 2. I've got my fingers crossed that not only are my scales correct and accurate, I'm hoping the weight loss continues.

NO MORE PIES, CAKES, CHOCOLATE etc FOR ME :-)
Yaaay, I finally conned a man into making a honest woman of me. Even more shocking is that I can put the words "Happily" and "Married" into the same sentence and not have life insurance on my mind when I say it ;-)

But well done you, i take it youre at target?

Screamer, you are allowed these things you know! :D

But not all day every day which is where I seem to have been going wrong all this time :D
    Thursday

Faced my first ‘trial’ today – it was someone’s birthday at work and there were cakes galore! On previous diets I’ve had to flatly refuse any ‘treats’ but with Food Optimising I know that I can have a bit of what I fancy. I had a piece of cake and I didn’t even want to pick on things during the afternoon because I was so full from my mega BLT sandwich I had at lunchtime!

This is a great feature that Ive just read- so so true :D

No, not yet. I have a couple more lbs to shift, but pretty much there now.

I do think the dress is a generous one to be honest there is honestly no way Im a six. Its a maxi so although it is fitted at the top under the bust it flares out in an A line so covers bum/tummy.

The extra lbs I have are on bum/tummy I am definitely not "skin and bone" put it that way.

If you saw me you would not say I was a size 6, more like a 10/12
