I normally would have given willie winkies and a cookie as a reward for eating the willie winkies.
Do you mean by this that you have decided not to give these to her any more?

No she can still have them but I don't want her to eat them everyday.

We picked the ham off it and scraped some of the primula off it.

I left it with her in the living room (someone suggested letting her eat whilst no-one is watching) so I went into the kitchen and she had a few nibbles!!

That sounds like a good compromise. Great news on the sandwich - just stay with what you've decided, and it sounds as if you're making progress already!

I hope you don't mean it sounds as if you've been too soft with her today - not at all.
You decided what to serve for lunch.
    DD helped you with it.
    You served it.
She initially rejected it...but has come back and eaten some.
Your decision has been carried through without your DD being forced to eat - job done for now!
    Well done.

If she normally has a cookie ok, but set a price for it.
Something she can achieve, like finish the sandwich, or half the sandwich. (but take it away and cut it, so she finishes what's on the plate, not leaves half), and give her the cookie after the willie winkies, or whatever you decide.
It wouldn't hurt at this stage to give her half if she leaves half, so long as you're clear on the rules, and the fact that eventually, next day/next week, it will be all or nothing.
Don't let her get into the habit of eating half reguarly though.
Fantastic job today so far though.
