Should I feed DD?!

When we were weaning DS I was told it can take up to 13 attempts of a new food before the child will accept it and to keep trying different flavours. It is disheartening, but DS is now a very good eater at almost 3.
Stick with it, it will get easier, and fair play to you for trying I know a lot of people would have given up by now.0 -

How's the day gone so far?
Well, it was a bit better I suppose than a normal day but dinner was still a slight issue.
I wasn't here when they started eating but I got back in the middle of it and could tell things hadn't gone so good.
Dddy has made some pasta and garlic bread. She ate some bread (just the soft bit, she tore the crusty bit off) but didn't touch the pasta.
For pudding I opened a carton of custard and put some mixed fruit into it....she took a couple of spoonfuls of custard and said she didn't like it!!Started PADdin' 13/04/09 paid £7486.66 - CC free 02/11/10

Perhaps holding out with a very small amount of fruit and custard, one or two pieces, then fed her the custard as normal after, and take it from there.
At least the bread went down though.0 -

But she took part in a meal and tried some of the food.
Don't worry, you've made a start!0 -

I should have sent her to bed 'starving' a long time ago!!
I'm worried about tomorrow though.
I work part-time and go to work tomorrow and Monday so it'll be daddy that's with them all day.
Sometimes daddy gives up too easily becasue he gets fed up of the constant whinging for treats so I'm concerned that he'll un-do my one day of hard work
I've asked him to remain calm but firm with her and to make sure that he doesn't give in to the demands.Started PADdin' 13/04/09 paid £7486.66 - CC free 02/11/10

OP - this caught my eye - I have a 2 1/2 yr old (3rd child) who for the last 10 days has eaten yoghurts (only one brand), occasional toast and occasional shreddies. I am also at my wits end on what to cook/do for him as he is totally uninterested in food. All offerings either get pushed away, spat out, ignored or dumped on floor (depending on frame of mind at the time - his, not mine!)
I have stopped all form of treats/biscuits etc, so hence the even more limited diet/calorie intake.
He went for his development check last week and is now down on the 2nd percentile (from 9th last time), am going back in 2 months for review (my request not to go sooner).
He's happy & lively and drinks bucketloads of water or squash.
When I have a few minutes I'm going to read back through this thread and see what ideas might work for us.
Good luck to OPNow proud Mumto3 :j0 -

Can you show him this thread? It might open his eyes a bit to what you're trying to do and how the whole cunning plan is meant to come together.0 -

The problem with that is she sounds as happy to go though.
What percentile is she on for weight?0 -

I've no idea
The last time I weighed her was about March and she was about 26lbs. She looks healthy though, that's why people keep me telling me she's fine.Started PADdin' 13/04/09 paid £7486.66 - CC free 02/11/10
