Sary I'm sure you do not look like an oompa loompa - they had green hair and orange skin :rotfl:
Well just rehydrating and de-stressing after work and then am going to tackle the Shred . Didn't run this morning, always knackered after Sunday night drive but will tomorrow as I really enjoyed it last week and want to get into the habit of morning running. Also want to get into the habit of no chocolate, starting with none in August, so am going to keep a record on here - and pleased to report day 1 and no chocolate. Won't have any this evening as there's none in my fridge, I've got ostrich burgers and salad to look forward to followed by cherries.0 -
Exercise DVD done, hard work but good and only 20 mins of my life. Think I'll know about it tomorrow! Hungry now0

I have not realy formulated any plans as to how Im going to lose weight other than a rather simplistic "eat less".
I have stocked the freezer with frozen veg and chicken and not bought any bread.( Im a big sandwich eater)
I am open to suggestions.
Silly question time, what is the shred, references to reseting to day one and last but not least a board where people post their weight for comparison.
Thanks

Hi Frank,
No question on here is a silly question
Eating less, and reducing your intake of bread sounds like a good start to me! If you want to keep a food diary, or log your meals, so you can count calories, fat, etc. then there are plenty of free online resources for you.
I think the Shred Vixstar referred to is an exercise plan (running?), I'm not sure either!
Some of us have been doing this weight loss lark on here a while, and when we feel we need a fresh new start we can ask to be zero'd, sometimes called 'pinked' too, as you will appear in pink text on the weekly chart. Likewise, there's an old saying that tomorrow can always be Day 1 again, ie. the first day of your diet, healthy eating, etc.
There is a weekly chart, that our lovely fredsnail compiles every Wednesday evening. Those wanting to be included post their loss/gain/sts (stay the same) anytime before Weds. evening, and she charts the figures for a weekly, monthly and total loss for those on it. It helps fred to notice your figures if you post them in big bold bright colours.
You don't need to declare your starting weight, unless you want to, most of us just give the amounts we've lost each week. Of course, if you achieve a weight you wish to shout about, then by all means share with us.One day the clocks will stop, and time won't mean a thing

Sary, I've had a few walks in, just work that sux when i'm stuck in the office with A certain person. He hasn't been around for a couple of weeks, so it's been rather nice
Still can't believe I let him get to me. Nothing going on replacement job tho. Was thinking of looking and raising a constructive dismissal claim
We've had a real nice manager in this week, who let's u do things your own way as long as everything gets done. Needless to say I was finished early 3 days out of 5. Whereas the certain person would do it his way, which would result in you working over your time. I don't mind working overtime when needed, but wouldn't work a minute extra for that person
Frank. I'm with you on the bread. I love my toast n lurpak. It's the one sin I can't give up atm, although I am trying4 Stones and 0 pounds or 25.4kg lighter :j0 -
Had a lovely break.

I'm so disappointed in myself, I have eaten so much krap this weekend!
However, back on track this week...sarymclary wrote: »I feel a bit sorry for my OH, who looks so nice whatever he wears, having to go along with an oompa loompa! lolI have stocked the freezer with frozen veg and chicken and not bought any bread.( Im a big sandwich eater)

BettyB - re: pizza express/strada. One tip that they made on biggest loser usa about eating out was to look at the menu online in advance and decide what you are having before you go. that way you wont be rushed into a decision on the spot and will reduce the temptation. They also suggested to ask for any sauces to be served "on the side".
Vixstar - good luck with the chocolate thing, I really thought that chocolate would be my biggest temptation but so far, touch wood, that hasnt been the case.
Early morning running takes that extra level of dedication (that i ain't got).
Ostrich burgers? I guess you're not in the uk then! Sounds nice anyway, does it taste a bit like chicken - apparently most whitemeat does?? You'd need a blumming big oven to roast an ostrich, and who would offer to "have a leg!"
Might need a spot of extra willpower on Thursday, yours truly turns 38 and in previous years has celebrated (in typical tea-totaller style) with coffee and birthday cake however it hasnt just ended being a piece but the majority of it, like 8 or 10 slices, or whatevers left of it when visitors have stopped "visiting". Anyway this year the plan is to get just one small chocolate rice crispie, bun sized cake instead, but that means that i wont have anything to share if anybody comes round and i'll feel a bit mean that way which i really really dont like, so the plan might all go to pot before then if the willpower doesnt hold out, so will just see what happens, watch this space! lol...
and with that in mind good luck to you Mazza for Friday, your lurpack and birthday cake day!0 -
