The whole island is not 'heavily-populated' with anybody, in fact, that was our first impression. There are miles and miles of gorgeous mountain, lake and sea-shore scenery and miles of country roads with empty houses. In comparison with England they are very much under-populated!

I did think that Irish people have a very erect and graceful carriage, in

hahaha! That is pretty funny there!! I have a dirty mind though.

When i say heavily populated i dont mean havily populated. I mean the number of !!!!!! to normal people is pretty high!!

Glad you enjoyed it, im definatly going if people have graceful under carriages.

happy to say that I've lost 4.4lbsthis week. Was at wedding no 1 of 3 and enjoyed myself but all within reason and sensibly. Drinking plenty of water all evening.

well done bindiboo 4.4lbs is awesome!

i did a 5 mile walk today (felt like th equivalent of a marathon for somebody that a week ago couldnt walk 500 yds without a sit down :-) )anyway the bottom of my right foot is now one huge blood blister and just wondered if anybody has any suggestions what i could do to prevent this happening if i go again next sunday. ps.ewww its all squelchy hahaha

foodwise: yesterday went to a bbq and ate a load more than should have :-(
this morning went for regular sunday morning fry up in sainsburys cafe and chose the very heathy non-fried alternative beans on toast :-)
have planned out and bought for every meal for next 7 days so ive no excuse for needing a takeaway or just popping into tesco on my way home for anything etc !

Eric - keep digging deep on that treadmill, the one time that i ever visited a gym i managed to break one of the treadmills , it just lost all power slowed down and died while i was walking on it :-o dont know if it was my fault or not but was soo embarrassed

treadmills do have very different weight limits, my one is 400lbs so should be man enough, you would hope ones in a gym would have a very high limit

back into a full routine now, alternating daily 1hr treadmill or 90 mins weights and boxing, slowly making up ground after all the heart condition crap ...

still feeling a bit odd, like i have a cold coming but not quite, temp seams normal at 36.8c

i am so much happier now 3 weeks of consistent and good weight loss, even thou i am eating huge amounts :j:j:j

even more so as I doing a pretty heavy resistance training 2 times a week and its very visible that I have put on a good amount of muscle in the last month, i have a visible pec line and can make my moobs dance lol

the down side is I am 0.2lbs !!!! from being at my next target and being able to use my body composition scales AHHHHHHHHHH so closeeeeee to finding out roughly what i should weigh :D

I am going to carry on the focus for august on training and continue to eat higher amounts to get better gains to try and catch up for the time i lost with the diagnosis of the heart condition ..

    Morning everyone.
I dont know why (well, I kind of do) but I just can't stick to any kind of eating plan over the weekend.
It starts off well - cereal, skim milk - but then goes downhill so quickly that the next thing I know I'm eating bags of sweets and pizza!
I think I have a bit of an issue where I can make myself behave well during the week so at the weekend it's like I'm suddenly free of the shackles of work (and diet) and go crazy! I need to sort that out but have so much going on that I dont have the time to organise myself. I haven't had a weekend at home for months and I think that is a big factor as I would not eat so much rubbish if I was at home with my own food and time to cook something.

Busy week ahead - need to do lots of work and also starting to do a bit of househunting as OH has agreed that our rent is too much.
Hopefully this won't impact on the SW plan but to be honest I am willing to let myself off a bit so long as I promise to get back on track when things have calmed down around here.

Well done sticking to the plan melvis, even when faced with a buffet! and well done on your excellent loss bindiboo!:)
    nearly there Eric!

I used to be bad at weekends, having done so well all week but then I realised what was the point of doing so well and being healthy all week only to go and spoil it at the weekends? So, now we have one family meal/take away at the weekend, like this saturday was fish and chips and I loved it, enjoyed every mouthful, it was lovely, looked forward to, my treat, I like saturdays now rather than dread them:D

So long as I have one thing I am happy, do not have to over compensate and go mad like I used to, one nice thing led to another and then it was a competition to see how many slices of bread I could eat in one go and I am the champion:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:now it is not necessary I enjoy the take away done, that or on a sunday I have a couple of biscuits, not the whole barrell just a couple and am happy with that.:D

Victory I would love to be able to do that too, I did when I had six weeks off work and did strict WW kept all my treats in my points, at the moment I'm back in the I've eaten one bit of junk so I might as well have another mode at weekends. Am just hoping 3 weeks of strict WW will retrain me.

i think i might have to go back to calorie counting for a while as I'm finding SW a bit costly at the mo. I can only afford to eat what's in the house so if it's not SW then it has to be eaten anyway - dont see the point in calling that 'failing' as I dont really have a choice.
