hahaha! That is pretty funny there!! I have a dirty mind though.

When i say heavily populated i dont mean heavily populated. I mean the number of !!!!!! to normal people is pretty high!!

Glad you enjoyed it, im definitely going if people have graceful under carriages.

Carriage as in posture, deportment, way of carrying yourself.

!!!!!! - did not meet a single one as far as I'm aware. Although I'm not too sure of the definition of this word but it sounds nasty. Everyone we met without exception was friendly and polite.

i think i might have to go back to calorie counting for a while as I'm finding SW a bit costly at the mo. I can only afford to eat what's in the house so if it's not SW then it has to be eaten anyway - dont see the point in calling that 'failing' as I dont really have a choice.

Could you explain about SW, Betty, and why the food is so much more costly?

IMHO any diet will 'fail' if it insists on food that is outside your normal budget. Eating healthily should NOT cost a lot more. What is in your house that you say you have to eat?

To be honest SW is not that outrageous and I am usually good at getting lean meat, fruit and veg cheap (yellow sticker, market, etc)
So technically SW isn't really any more expensive, but it's the case now that my kitchen supplies are getting low but so is the budget.

It's hard to buy a certain type of bread or cereal for instance when there is a packet already in the kitchen that is not SW-friendly. I can't not eat what i've got and buy something else.

So I may well have some frozen sausages that aren't SW but I'm going to have to eat them as it's silly not to!

I will jump back on the SW wagon as soon as I can. I am just finding it hard to eat the 'right' things when all I have is the 'wrong' things leftover in my fridge and no grocery money left!

Figure I'll just use up the dregs of the fridge and freezer till payday then do a proper shop and make sure I buy SW-appropriate things only. should be able to get back on track then.

thanks for your concern tho :) but it really isn't SW's fault, it's just time to use up all the junk i bought before i started SW and have been putting off eating!!

I was about 23 stone i dropped to 19 stone without a diet plan. i started out with the walk yourself fit. You walk so many miles and increase the distance over time. I started off doing 3 - 4 miles increased it to 8 miles over several months.

This year i started with the cycling on a bad day i do 12 miles on a good day around 20 - 22 miles at a average speed of 12 mph which gets your heart pumping and helps you burn calories.

i cut out junk food and just stick to three meals a day. some nights i might have the odd snack but on average i am losing 1kg a month about half a bag of sugar.

its fun to get out and cycle or walk. my neighbors got me in to it they do the London to Brighton every year which is about 70 miles on a bicycle.

i want to do it next year if i can get in shape. Winter is my down fall that is when i put on most weight coz its to cold to go out most of the time. So this year i think i will hit the gym at college and keep fit that way.

my neighbors do not keep fit in the winter so i have a chance to catch up. My idea weight is 15 stone
i will proud if i can reach that.

Every time i see new diet or this weight watchers i just cant be arsed to stick with a diet plan or learn a new way of eating me i love my food and i believe if you burn of what you eat then it wont get stored as fat.

So if i take in just over 2000 calories a day i make sure i burn that by doing two hours of cycling

    "1 hours twice a day"

and that has burn that off.

it is also good to fuel your muscles when cycling so i had low fat protein bars from tesco
i read that if you do not fuel your muscles with energy that you can lose the muscle mass.

best off all it does not cost a lot either. maybe once or twice a week i cycle to tesco for one of the energy bars and just the cost of a bicycle really and mounting bikes are not very dear now which rocks.

Sounds like you've got a good plan there KentGuy.

My OH did the london to brighton this year and is loving cycling.
I will get a bike one day but for now I am too scared of cycling on the mean streets of London!

Cycling is great exercise but unfortunately I had a pin put in my right hip when i was in my teens to correct a condition that has left me with restrictive movement in my right leg.

So I really struggle with cycling and can go no distance at all without having to stop as the pain is too great. Going to try again when I have another stone off to see if it is any easier.

i cant say i would want to ride around London either. The traffic alone would scare me. I go along a busy main road some days but mostly across country.

i think i will be scared doing the london to brighton.

Sorry to hear about your leg.

not really, if you run out of glycogen (body stored sugar) you will go into ketosis and will get an acetone smell, this is pure fat burning mode

when ever you exercise muscles you break them down, to ensure they get rebuilt you need to make sure you have protein in your diet

i have protein with every meal and when doing resistance training before and after the session, when doing cardio just after the session not before.

protein is also an appetite suppressant
