oh well thats good!! I still cant quite imagine it though...its like me thinking of myself being old with grey hair and not having a bum anymore.
Well Vix, I can tell you about being old and having grey hair (although I like to call it silver :rotfl:) but sadly I still have a big bum.:o0 -

Yesterday I treated myself to some Salter Body Analyser scales, £20 in Sainsburys (bought with some of the contents of my £2 coin jar - very MSE!):-
Sainsburys
.. so I'm all set up to measure weight, body fat and water, all captured on a spreadsheet (eric would be so proud!). I've taken my first set of measurements and needless to say I have some way to go!

sound advice
took me ages to come to terms with mine
i must admit it got 100 times better once i had detoxed myself of processed food and refined carbs but that may just be me
and when something does get to me an hours hard cardio makes me fell much better, good old endorphins0 -
A beautiful life does not just happen, it is built daily by prayer
if all else fails then the magic sky pixies will make everything good, lotto the god of eternal happiness keeps ignoring my crys of help to him, he is a cruel god ....

control the factors in your life that you can control, do not worry about what you can not control, there's no point stressing over them you can not change them, find the positive in every situation.
there are no excuses in life, the only person that gets held back by your excuses is you
realise that you have to take responsibility for yourself
accept that you are actually about 20 times stronger than you think you are, if you put your mind to it you will surprise yourself
take one step at a time
I got super over weight, it was a result of a horrifically abusive childhood and being massively in debt. I set out a 5 year plan to clear the debt (end of this year) but most importantly I realised that I had to sort it out, it was nobody else's problem, likewise I was the one who had put the food in my mouth, I had chosen to not eat healthy or exercise and only I could correct the situation.
I have a heart condition, there's !!!!!! all i can do about it apart from follow what the doctors tell me to do, i change everything else around the condition the best I can0 -
bb,eric, stebiz, vix we have all been there to various degrees and no way is a weight loss fraudulent or unfair because it has been lost due to depression, no one would want it that way but it has been that way and I just love what eric has posted, it is so true, we can over come, we can be better people, we can take it one step at a time, stebiz you absolutely must never leave this thread, we are all here for you:D

ok update on operation protibix for breakfast (oatibix made with a protein shake)
its as cheap as chips, its a slow release carb and by blending the protein shake into the bix it too becomes slow release (protein shakes are designed to be very fast release) so is great before a resistance training session and its not setting off my IBS
i profiled my glucose levels yesterday, i had a high carb day just to try and push my insulin levels (i used to be insulin resistant and pass out after a high refined carb meal)
I am avg 173g of carbs a day normally (50% of recommend amount) 34% carb 35% protein 31% fat (over the last 2 weeks) so still a highly reduced carb diet
I know I drain my glycogen store every cardio session as i get a very strong smell of acetone (ketosis)
9.59 : 5.2 - 14hr over night fast, 1 hour hard cardio
10.00 : 62.1g carb - protibix
11.08 : 5.3
12.07 : 5.8
13.10 : 4.2
13.30 : 51.9g carb
14.33 : 5.7
15.34 : 4.6
16.36 : 4.2
17.44 : 4.1
18.36 : 4.80 -
