ooh i hate pepsi max!! Although the other day i had a coke because there was less sugar in that than a bottle of tescos orange juice (from concentrate)

not all sugars are equal thou especially GI wise

    Sucrose - 65
    Honey - 55
    Fructose - 19

High Fructose Corn Syrup should be avoided at all costs as it make you gain more weight than its calorific value ...

so in a situation like that i would take an innocent smoothie (all natural fruit sugar but alot of it) over a supermarket fruit juice (they add processed sugar) to a soda drink with normally has the evil HFCS in it ..

Coke is goooooooooood though! Or it was when it made me hyper when i was younger. That was my child drug!! ha. Shame it doesnt have the same effect on me now :( I only really drink that if it has alcohol in it, which is worse.

I'm with you eric on this. I don't even buy fruit juices any more as the (albeit natural) sugars are so high. Better to eat the fruit and get the roughage and far less sugars.
High fructose corn syrup is evil and in so many things. The rise of obesity levels can, it seems, be traced to when it started being used.
The sugar levels in coke is used to hide the high salt content that makes you thirsty and want more.

    Water... lovely stuff:D
I try to take one day at a time, but sometimes several days attack me at once

Well i didnt get chance to weigh in this week but probably didnt do too well as it was my birthday at the weekend so was out most of the weekend and then have been on a work course for most of the week so have been eating out for 2 meals out of 3 as didnt have time to prepare breakfast lunch this week. I have a week or so off now before i do the other couple of days of my course so going to start writing the assignment now, going for walks and try and start going on the wii fit.

Clearly I don't fit the pattern. I don't like any fizzy drinks .... well I'd make an exception for champagne .... sadly it hasn't made me slim.

hahaha granny! Im not a big lover of champers...much prefer its cheaper cousin.

I have purchased the most fab top today!! i would show you, but yet again its not on the website!!! Its beautiful though, almost too beautiful to go clubbing in, but im thinking a theatre trip in it aswell will be good! Oh im all excited. Kinda opened a top shop card aswell..proper lethal :/ she made me spend over £80 to get 15% off. So i managed that easily ha. I never do things like that, and i know i'll regret it!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY BEX!!! hope you had a lovely day, and birthday calories never count!!!
  • ahh I am with Vix on this one, I can't do Pepsi Max, (or Pepsi for that matter) and Diet Coke gives me indigestion and migraines :-( I love my full fat Coke. But have cut down rather well recently (for some reason!! lol) exchanging it for water I have found is not that hard (honestly)

Could be a bad weigh in week next week for me, been eating out today with some of my best friends, plus we're away at hospital all next week. More chemo booked in. I find it really hard to having nothing to do in hospital all day, I try really hard not to spend all my time eating.

Hope everyone is having a good weekend, whatever you're eating, make sure you enjoy it!!
