I seem to be over my gym hiatus - found a love for it again.
Went to a Combat class last night - apart from feeling a bit out of my depth by not knowing the moves and being the only chap there it wasnt bad.
Then went for a swim before work this morning - so feel dead relaxed.
Planning on trying a boxercise class tonight.
not much will beat heavy bag work for cals/hr burnt, except heavy resistance training where you get an increased metabolism for up to 36 hours after the session0 -
eric - any tips for doing resistance I find it so boring!0

Oh im stuck everyone. I weighed myself again, im exactly the same weight as i was for the past two weeks. I dunno what to do to lose weight! I feel that if i eat any less i'm going to crave more. I want to eat my breakie, and ive swapped my chocoalte bar for mid morning break for fruit. I walk to work back and forth (half of the journey anyway) and walk at work. Im obviously going to have to step up the moving alot to even make a slight difference.
On a brighter note, i *think* im not being charged for my gym membership. I had a bank statement through and there was nothing from the gym, ive never noticed one before either. I remember i went once and they said im not a member, i said yes i was ive signed up with a direct debit, was told to go to the gym and it would be fixed when i finished. Well i dunno what theyve done but i dont seem to be paying for anything!0 -
Good deal with the gym vix - hope it lasts!
dont know what to suggest you do other than mix it up a bit - try having a bigger brekkie some days and a smaller supper, or changing the type of things you're eating. Maybe get a personal trainer at the gym to show you some different exercise - anything to shock your body into shedding some lbs again.
I have just dropped in to tell you about my amazing dinner!
I had warm cous cous (cooked with cumin powder, corander powder and fresh coriander leaves, ginger, garlic and red chilli) with roasted butternut squash, red pepper, red onion and cherry tomatoes, with a drizzle of lemon juice.
I also had kidney bean salsa with canned toms, beans, onion, mint and parsley.
And then on the side i had low fat natural yog with fresh chopped mint.
It was gorgeous!:D
And i saved some leftovers for tomorrow:)Betty B: The Eternal Procrastinator....

See i wish i could eat things like that betty!! But it would be too bitty for me. My struggle with food in general is mainly based on texture and ratios. I cant eat new potatoes, salad and say a peice of chicken because there is no wet element to create a ratio of dry to wet food. I would have to exchange the salad for baked beans to insert some form of wet. It makes it so hard to eat anything healthy because most of it is dry.0

Can't you make a sauce for it? Like a tomato and garlic sauce for the chicken?? Or have the same but with sausages and gravy??
just a thought.
Tell me, is this "cous cous" mainly consumed by southerners?

I remember when I lived in Islington walking past a man with a child and the child said in a really posh voice 'daddy shall we get some couscous from m&s'!
Made me cringe!
