two parts to it, once you have been a blimp you have a huge number of fat cells, they never go away they just become empty so the body wants to fill them

and then there's the emotional eating disorder, its like being an addict, you will always be an ex addict with the demon sitting on your shoulder

You have really good will power. And what is "normal" anyway? I would love to have your will power re food, and eliminating alot of the bad stuff.

Oh Eric hon, I didn't mean that in a bad sense at all. I don't know how to put things without offending further... Eek that wasn't my intention, you've don't need me to tell you how remarkable you're doing.. I just meant all the stats kinda scared me a bit. Or the totally natural thing scared me too. I really wish I had the £/Time to do it that way. Alas with the warped hours I work, I try to eat/feed the kids as healthily as I can on the income and time I have. I felt quite inadequate as a parent seeing what you were doing. Please don't take offence at it.

no one here has upset me or said anything i remotely find negative :D

it really does come down to controlling carbs, once the insulin levels are under control its not so bad, i do have nothing bad in the house thou, no temptations, and i never go food shopping if i am hungry, eating 5 smaller meals a day is a big help as well, so theres not huge amounts of will power involved

Sweetie that is a fab result :-)

Vic - over the years most people on this thread drift in and drift out (myslef included) but you are always around and are like the backbone of this thread. You can share a perspective that most of us arn't able to because you have actually been all the way to your target weight. Even if youve slipped a little from it again now it's still inspirational, proving that what we all want to achieve can actually be done.

I've had a rubbish few days, but am taking today as a chance to start getting back on track.

    well done sweetie and neilersmc

I am really hoping for a good loss this week - I am exercising (and loving the new bike!) and sticking to SW so fingers crossed for tomorrow morning.

Just had an amazing brekkie of cherry toms and mushrooms fried in frylight, with a fried egg cooked in the middle and all of it heaped on a toasted ww roll - just thought i'd share! I love having rolls rather than bread as they are a bit like having a healthy version of an english muffin!!

  • Betty - I have the spicy carrot soup for lunch today - love it. Experimented last night with the recipe and added a bit of grated ginger I had kicking about the place.
